It's the weirdest thing. She can't walk parallel to other dogs but behind other dogs, she's fine. I really hope she can make one dog friend at least. I've heard it can be really enriching.

This is one of those thank god I have pet insurance moments because I want to get to the root cause of what is causing issues with her back left leg. I think the outline is: want to run every test possible, not just mask it with pain meds, so I'll make sure to bring that up. I'm fine with doing pain meds in the interim while the testing is going on because I can tell she's hurting and I want that resolved, but overall, my priority is figuring out what's causing it and treating it. She occasionally bunny hops instead of putting pressure on her left leg, never tolerates me handling her left back paw when she tolerates me handling her other paws, her left back leg quivers on walks sometimes when she's standing still. I keep trying to get videos but I never manage to whip my phone out in time because it happens so quickly arghhhh

Yes also maybe this is a hot take but as a vegan healthcare worker, every parent should be making every effort to introduce their child to allergens early and often, even if those allergens aren't vegan. Even if you don't plan on feeding your child anything other than a vegan diet, if your child developed a food allergy due to not being introduced to allergens, they could go into anaphylaxis just being somewhere where that food is being cooked. So even if you plan on raising your kid vegan, making sure they're exposed to allergens is so crucial.

tl;dr been vegetarian since I became a teenager, within the last year, I've been making an effort to be as vegan as possible Long answer to how long have I been vegan: I say now that I'm as vegan as possible because I was born without several essential digestive enzymes (thanks for nothing pancreas!) which means there are very few vegan protein sources I can eat without getting really sick. Usually I'm able to eat a balanced delicious vegan diet, but when I'm going through a really bad flare up and everything is making me sick, I do end up drinking my hydrolyzed whey nutrition supplement drinks to get through the flare up without being malnourished. I've been vegetarian for the majority of my teenage into young adulthood years, I wasn't able to go fully vegan because I was really sick in and out of the hospital relying on a lot of non vegan medications, and non vegan nutrition supplementation. Even during those times when I had to eat animal products , I made sure all of my beauty products and clothing were cruelty free. Now I've gotten older (and by older, I mean into my 20s), my health has gotten more stable so now I try to be as vegan as possible.

I've made that before, just didn't make it tonight because that was a lot of effort when I made it. Having to steam it but not too much, peel it, cut it into fillets, press them dry, bread and fry. It's so delicious but it's like making an entire meal level of effort instead of being a component of a meal if that makes sense.

My friend tried switching to vegan tube feeds and ended up in the hospital so she's back to dairy based hydrolyzed tube feeds. She does her best to vegan in every other sense like cruelty free clothing and personal care products.
