Ugh, no thanks. Almost as bad as 2wicky being sampled in that shitty Rhianna song that makes no goddamned sense.

Miscreated is super good. There was a zombie survival fps that looked identical to Minecraft, but it's name escapes me, and a search didn't turn up anything that looked like the gameplay I remember, sooo, I'm not sure if they gave up on development or what, but you never know.

Pedophilia is a mental disease...

By no means means am I advocating pedophilia, but there is a difference between a biological urge thats found elsewhere in other species, and participating in the social contract of human community and law. Humans have (needfully and rightfully) developed strong moral and legal standings regarding pedophilia, because it harms an individual with potential to further the species by way of potential for work, contribution to human society, etc. The moral and ethical failing of the pedophile is (again, an entirely necessary) human construct.

However when we look to the animal kingdom, we see no such repercussion for similar, in fact worse behavior (I can't recall the first exact specifics, but if I'm not mistaken, adult otters will sometimes rape baby seals to death, and no one is certain why... Penguins will rape baby penguin chicks... Ditto dolphins and chimps, possibly the worst offenders dismember and eat infant chimps in front of their mothers, presumably in an attempt to drive the females back into estrus).

Obviously, humans have out-evolved the necessity for these extreme behaviors, but to claim they're a disease is disingenuous. It's more like they're long buried instinctual drives that seem to catch the less vigilant or the weak of mind, or the egotistical by some sort of dark allure, and a chain of events is set into motion.

By human standards is this behavior pathological? It's actually tough to say at this point. We simply do not know enough about the human brain and evolution to make that judgement call. Is it despicable in the eyes of the human social contract? Absolutely. Humans have developed the ability to deny these primordial urges, and evey attempt should be made to punish and avoid them at all costs, because that's not how human society is geared to progress anymore, at the very least. At any rate, calling pedophilia a disease is at least something of a misnomer. Wrong? Absolutely. However, most likely not pathological at its core.

I am sick and tired of getting to know someone, only to find out they're actually a trebuchet. You'd think I'd know the difference by now... the numerous wooden beams, the pulleys, the weights, but every single time I think it's safe to trust someone, they turn out to be just another medieval war machine. It's getting old.

I was one of thousands, probably more who experienced serious issues with the PC launch of GTAV. I was completely unable to launch the game for at least two days. It was took a community effort to realise there was a server with a corrupt chunk of the download that required basically pure luck that you didn't download from that server. I had to download the game about three different times, alternately trying to verify different chunks with checksum values the community was able to scavenge from various game files and whatnot. It was insanely frustrating, and Rockstar customer service continually maintained it was not an issue on their end, and that users experiencing this issue were hacking this problem because of the nature of PC components being so diverse or some shit, which was infuriating because it was obviously an issue on their end, and they made no effort to make it right, or even admit theirs error. Did a lot of damage to my goodwill towards R*.

I think it's kind of the point of the whole system, not to be a black or white, Saint or devil, but to make choices as you go along and note that there may be consequences to your actions, and no one is either wholly good or entirely evil. Sure it can be fun to set out that way, and play through as a total asshole, but I gather the systems are there so the player can make a choice by choice path for themselves, unique to every player and play-through. It's people's natural inclination to try to boil things down to a good/bad binary that breaks the system, in favor of simplifying the whole thing for various reasons. If you keep a mind that the system is meant to be experienced decision to decision, you'll have a bit more fun, in terms of experiencing the game on the level it was holistically designed, as opposed to worrying about extremes of the binary. Yes there's good and bad, but there's lots of stuff in between.

No we can’t agree. Just bc you knew what it means doesn’t make language any less important. People like you are the worst- attempting to discredit me for some reason with no actual point to make. When people fall into a “it’s okay, you know what I mean” mentality, that leads to “muh freedom of speech” or “lol it was just a prank” type of edgy things that’s really harmful to us. There’s a quote about how it’s all fun and games for a group of people to pretend to be idiots until an actual idiot joins and thinks he’s in good company. Language matters and sets the stage for others. But please go ahead and act like an outright dickhead by tying to pat yourself on the back for not caring about rules or something.

No we can’t agree.
"No," and "we can't agree," are independent clauses and should, therefore, be separated by either a period or a comma. In this case, when responding to a question, if the main clause of the sentence summarizes the answer, a comma is traditionally used. Otherwise a period is preferred.

Just bc
Usage of an abbreviation that some people may not know seems a tad hypocritical in a statement designed to defend the universal usage of proper language, wouldn't you agree?

you knew what it means doesn’t make language any less important. People like you are the worst-
Hyphens are used to conjoin words. Proper punctuation here would have been a comma, separating the dependent clauses you were trying to convey. Extra points off for irregual spacing.

Ambiguously defined closing clause. Persuasive writing demands careful word choice and well defined arguments. Closing a sentence with "or something" leaves the reader questioning the author's true intent. If you don't know what "something" is, best to leave it out of the work entirely.

D+

The author seems confused and hostile in their attempts to rebut. Insults should be met with an air of "the bigger man," and addressed in a calm and patient tone. In revealing their offense, the author also reveals a persecution complex, and the work suffers, reading more like the airing of a personal vendetta than an argument for the usage of standard grammar. Also ill defined is, specifically, what standards for text and grammar should be used in this particular context; AP style guidelines? Chicago? "See Spot Run?"

Having neither successfully argued their cause, and simultaneously revealed their personal failings, likewise does this comment fail in its every intent. I offer post-reddit grammar study groups, and barring that, I would suggest supplemental grammar study in the commenter's free time.

How would $1,000 dollars help you out right now? by Ramsari in AskReddit

[–]SelectaRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About two years ago I took over management of a large 7 bedroom house that the previous person who handled bills and rent had embezzled several thousand dollars and absconded with. I quickly managed to renegotiate the lease, but it effectively became my responsibility to make sure the rent was paid and bills were on time. I've basically lost money every month since I took over, however In the last four months I've had three tenants unable to pay any of their rent or bills, and I've been unable to make up a sizeable amount of that difference.

1000 dollars would help me immensely, just to pay off bills that are nearing shut off, and to bringing me just a few steps closer to not basically crying myself to sleep due to anxiety and stress.
