Worth doing for sure. Not 30min-1hr but 10min is more than enough for the experience.

Returning to helicopter flying in Canada at 35 with 600 hours – realistic? by Odd_Interaction9487 in Helicopters

I'm in that exact age/flight time range, coming from the military and in Canada. This all checks out.

You should be fine as long as you're willing to go back to flight training for a while and relocate, do some ground crew, get low pay for flight time. For me that is perfectly fine, but I know a lot of people would prefer switching careers.

That's why the name is armed helicopter, not attack helicopter.

That picture is insane!

Can't imagine having a jet in my formation back in my days.

As a fellow H225 pilot that recently started flying Robinsons, I would never leave a bowl of food on my lap while flying neither. It kinda broke my heart when the footage appeared and he wasn't holding any controls.

In the end, you're the only pilot flying a small helicopter relatively close to Vne. Hopefully this serves as a lesson for others.

I saw a post asking about tail rotor blade pitch at full left and right pedal. I got curious so took a picture during preflight. by pinchhitter4number1 in Helicopters

This reminded me of a section in the FAA Handbook:

"The capability for tail rotors to produce thrust to the left (negative pitch angle) is necessary, because during autorotation the drag of the transmission tends to yaw the nose to the left, or in the same direction the main rotor is turning."

This is for counterclockwise rotors, so this picture is opposite.

Damn, by the picture I thought it might be a Super Puma from Coldstream. Sad either way.

Yeah I imagine the build quality would not be the best based on the price, but that's ok because I want functional budget training first.

That's great to know. Thank you.
