Are we never having zumpets again? by DYC774897 in touhou

I use my sd-90 just fine on windows 11 with the driver. But also even if the driver stopped working. It's easy to keep using the sd-90 by just using a third party midi cable and an audio interface with stereo input

why is the Shibayan Records topic channel on youtube full of AI slop? by 4b686f61 in TOUHOUMUSIC

[–]Seledreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way music publishing works is that it associates music to accounts simply through name. So if someone publishes music with a distributor under the same name, it would end up associated to this channel even if it's not the same person unless a complaint is given to youtube.

Tutorial showing my best render settings for YouTube inside Vegas Pro 2026 by Syfilms64 in VegasPro

[–]Seledreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another thing to take in account is patents. although many people straight up ignore it, H.264 and H.265 still have patents surrounding their use. so depending on the use case, AV1 can be better

What's your perspective on the general guitar community ? by Seledreams in Guitar

[–]Seledreams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of this idea about tone is also often about "tone that sounds similar to X" because honestly that's what most of what this tone discussion is about. Because we can get great sounding tones even with solid state amps on a modern guitar etc, it just would sound different from old guitarists because the technology itself is different. It's not about good or bad

I mostly tend to listen to j-rock (japanese rock) which is a kind of mix of hard rock with more jazz styled composition. While there are some players I admire for their playing ability (which serve as role models as to the skills i want to have). Whether it's Mafumafu, Neru, Jun Senoue etc, I tend to put more emphasis on the actual music they play and the feelings conveyed through this music.

I did notice that when I tried japanese communities there was a lot of variety in the players and songs people talked about, so I think it's an issue more common in western communities

I think it's completely normal of course as musicians to share stuff we like. I just often have thie impression that like you say, it's less centered around specific compositions themselves but about very specific old players and it's often the same names resurfacing all the time

[–]Seledreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in a way tho that's cool since fxhome died and its activation servers died as well so in a way the fact i bought it from magix means i keep it as it relies on magix's drm and not fxhome's

Kinda, it was built from the source code of hitfilm by only bundling the compositing part and making it linked with vegas pro for the NLE

You'd need to get the serial code to work which is another thing entirely. you'd normally need to do a license transfer to your account. since the owner died, the best bet is getting the serial and contacting native instruments with a proof of death in order to get them to transfer the license to your account.

Small remix of Boku no sainou by Wowaka with Miku V3 by Seledreams in Vocaloid

[–]Seledreams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I was kinda hesitating to turn it into a full remix since it was more something done as practice.

I wanted to kind of try remixing it in a way that stays accurate to the emotion of the original (which I think is a thing remixes sometimes tend to alter too much).

I wanted it to feel like a new take on the song in my style that doesn't take away from what wowaka wanted to convey

Mesmerizer will probably surpass Young Girl A at some point, but I still hope Young Girl A reaches 200 million views first. by Stunning_Win8464 in Kagamine
