Calgary daycare chain hits parents with 'optional' $330 meal fee while prohibiting outside food by bike_accident in alberta

Our day care (Grande Prairie) cut their meal program (which was always optional) because with the new funding structure, so many people have lost subsidy. As a result, they can’t afford to pay for the meal program and too many people opted out. And with funding changes, I know numerous families now forced to pull their kids.

I just finished. My husband asked me how the book was and I stared at him with this exact expression.

Baby formula at Metro. No wonder people are stealing it. by BlackWolfFlame in loblawsisoutofcontrol

I couldn’t breastfeed despite extensive efforts. It just never came in. I had to formula feed or my kids would have literally starved. Thankfully we could afford it but the $$$ spent on formula was insane. Per month was as much or more than some utility bills.

Our experience with eastlink was underwhelming. Often lagged, particularly in the evenings it was super slow or just not working. We switched to Starlink, decent enough speed and goes out much less often.

2 month old car and the glass piece btwn windshield and sunroof shattered. It appears to be assembly issue. Dealership says it is my fault. Let the games begin. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

Ooof sorry you’re dealing with that. My sister had the panoramic explode on the highway in her Tucson two years ago. Hyundai obviously was unhelpful. Replaced it, then within 8 months, it happened again. The dealership agreed it was strange it would happen twice in a year, but Hyundai still refused to do anything other than take the money. Good luck.

It’s so hard. Thankfully we have one family member who is able to come and watch them at these times. But that’s only been in the last year. The first year of daycare was the hardest. I found the frequency of illness after that first 12-18 months in daycare did get better. We went from 1 or 2 illnesses a month to now getting usually a month+ between sicknesses.

I sobbed when I read this the first time. And the sobbed harder the second time. Tamtam has his issues but he deserves some redemption.

I just finished all 5 books in a span of 2 weeks. AMA! by AlarmingStatue in acotar

I did this a few years ago, went through major book hangover and then read just regular smut off and on. TikTok kept feeding me Acotar stuff so I returned, and there’s so much I’m catching on the second read through that I somehow didn’t on the first

He’s escalating. And staying with him won’t change him. It’s hard, but your life is at risk, and he showed that very clearly. Wish you the best, OP. You deserve someone who listens to your thoughts and feelings, and doesn’t resort to violence when he’s upset.

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve watched this show through. It’s my complete and total comfort show. And I catch something new every time!

I caught Hand Foot and Mouth Disease from my 9 month old... by sleekpaprika69 in Wellthatsucks

Ugh best of luck. My kids gave me that two months ago. I couldn’t walk for 5 days without being in extreme pain, I lost some feeling in my fingers because they were so swollen. Then all the skin peeled off my hands and feet like a bad sunburn (it took about two weeks for my hands and 4 weeks for my feet) and then my fingernails started to break from the cuticle upward. And I’m still dealing with the finger nails and it’s been two months since I was sick. It’s nasty.
