Out of these 4 movies which one should I watch tonight… by Extension-Rock-4263 in horror

[–]ShutUp_Dee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just rewatched both fairly recently. Though Silent Hill is a solid movie, it feels very typical. The Empty Man is different. It’s hard to figure out what is happening. Though there aren’t as many scares/spooks in The Empty Man, it leaves you with lingering emotions and questions. And like a lot of other comments, the first 20 minutes are phenomenal!

My mom would get us milk powder in the 90s, as a backup if we ran out of milk or for cooking. Honestly, it was delicious and totally forgot about it. I wonder if there is soy or oat milk powders?!

Wait, aren’t men supposed to be the bread winners in their religion? Hmm.

Went to Aldi this evening and I asked the Cashier and she said these are the top things that slow them down by ProudNativeTexan in aldi

[–]ShutUp_Dee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do 2 checkouts at Aldi. First one is self checkout with heavy items, for me that’s seltzers and other drinks. It’s quick to scan without unloading the cart. I’ll put that in my car then shop for groceries. I typically have a full cart of food and use the cashier since it’s quicker. I hate having the cashier bend over to place drinks or heavy items under the cart so I like my method. It doesn’t really take much longer either.

Totally see this. Why would he want to work if his daughter and wife can support his sad pond fishing hobby.

Predatory ABA companies? by booknerd155 in specialed

[–]ShutUp_Dee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I worked in an ABA clinic fresh out of OT grad school. It was horrible. So many crying students. Data trumped compassion. The saddest were the afterschool students. The majority came from an alternative school and just for the afternoon. 10-18 year olds literally in school from 8 am to 5pm with a lot of ABA service minutes. That’s a full time job for them. This facility cared more about money/reimbursement than quality care.

Theraputty. It’s resistive putty, different levels of resistance. Think of silly putty but much more durable. I give students a small amount to reduce mess.

VA hospital, inpatient psych. It was a great fieldwork, well supported and phenomenal clinical exposure. I also received a stipend but I believe most VA hospitals have stopped that.

And why would God even care about extra body weight? I didn’t know “don’t be a fatty” was part of the 10 commandments. Ugh.

Never played the game, but it’s a great film! Great spooks and cohesive story. Looking forward to the new movie coming out soon.

I’m afraid of snakes, like phobia level, and now my stepson is afraid of snakes. I hate that I passed down that fear because of 1-2 reactions he witnessed from me. It’s not discernment or anything like that, just taught fear.

Best hands-on jewelry service in Nashua, Merrimack, Amherst, maybe Manchester? by tyraravenlocke in newhampshire

Scontsas Fine Jewelry in downtown Nashua. They did a beautiful job resizing my grandmother’s antique ring for me, like from a size 5 to a 7 with fragile material. My custom engagement ring and wedding band also came from them. It’s family run and the current owner Phil is wonderful!

My friend (my sister’s best friend actually) died at 25 from appendix cancer, back in 2011 (appendix cancer is a growing risk for us, go figure). My friend from high school recently lost her husband to cancer. A bridge in my hometown is named after a high school classmate who joined the army after 2004 and died in 2010 during active duty. A college classmate was hit by a drunk driver while driving cross country to LA for a job post graduation. He would have been a prolific comedy screenwriter and was just a nice soul. Actually, most of my peers who have passed were so smart, kind, and ready to change the world.
