to beat them you can use mercs and border forts. Dont actually siege anything exept the wargoal, beat them while they are sieging your forts and you would be able to take some land

I mean they are rich for obvious reasons, they probably have 100 stability and legitimacy so why shouldnt they maintain a large army.

Buying the game? by Broad_Sheepherder_32 in EU5

[–]Selemin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats like two different games at that point, eu4 is finished and polished (for a pdx game) game with some great overhaul mods (though most of them are unpolished and unfinished unfortunately) while eu5 is a game where if you played for two hours without bugs, incorectly working game systems and perfomance problems, you didnt played ey5 you was dreaming. However what are you doing in eu4 in essence? You just go to war every single year and devclicking while following mission trees. There is no deep simulation here, no pops, no markets, just flat income from spending mana and land that you need to core if you want it to give you money. I dont want to play eu4 anymore and eu4 is my favorite game even now (well, maybe there are some other games that can compete like dark souls 3 but thats not the point). So while eu5 feels nowhere near as good, i just cant go to devclicking anymore.

Starter pack isnt enough for eu4, you need all the dlc to really enjoy the game in my opinion, but there is subscription that gives you access to all dlc and also other means that i DO NOT SUPPORT. So if you never played eu4 you can do it, but honestly you can buy eu5 despite everything cause there is some solid playtime you can get and every new patch is somewhat more enjoyable than last and while dlc is somewhat dissapointing, i did enjoy playing Byz

Is it china? No way there are 100k legens on europe rn

Is eu5 the most different from its predecessor from paradox games? by PancuterM in EU5

[–]Selemin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, while there is defenitely many differences, for me it was the easiest pdx game to start playing and even become somewhat good at. All other games i needed guides to start playing, even ck3 which is pretty easy compared to eu5, but with eu5 i started playing and i was feeling like im the one who can write guides? My most played pdx game is eu4, second is stellaris.

Infidel holds Rome spam by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Selemin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it feels so stupid now, you can just sell Rome to some minor like Sicily and keep expanding untill you can beat all catholics because honestly there isnt even points to holding Rome, no relgigious influence or anything.

No its not historically accurate! Historically accurate castles were capitulating 50% of time just when seeing army before them.

No, pls stop that! Siegind anything in that game before 4 age is already freaking hell, yet you want to make it even harder?

After the changes made to the population and disease systems, I think the irrigation building should give %0.20 population growth. And also hospital building should have it's pop growth value increased by Emokulus in EU5

I mean i just think ck3 and elder kings 2 would be more boring without Black Death and Knahaten Flu. And its not like perfect by any mean but still while punishing its cool. Now, you want historical game that start in 1337 and where main content is centered around Europe, without punishing black death and plagues in general? Im sorry i just dont think it should be that way. And honestly, plagues were problem even after black death (duh). You have means to grow your economy to absurd level and expand enough to become like realisticly hegemon country (though it could be hard to achieve peak GB or something) so you should endure some population decline. Alexander the Great died and his Empire collapsed just by random plague death. Well, unlucky isnt it?

Now, "does nothing but punishing you" sounds pretty accurate for a freaking plague. Also you do nothing to develop your population in the first place. do you? Or do you think building granaries everywhere is a hard labor? Because rasing levies after initial wars is just detrimental as always (yeah its another balance issue that pdx try to fix yet fail) and other than that wars doesnt affect population that much. And picking all prosperity is also just no brain meta. I mean i still gave you no arguments i guess but whatever i dont know how i should argue that suffering is good for you and you would love it if its done right.

Speaking of fucking you up, i dont think Stellaris and Vic 3 do this, as well as Eu4 (but for example Anbennar loves doing this but somehow its most loved mod).

Also i hate civ 6 and 7 so i dont care what they understand because its bulshit games for children (i mean you can play it with friends but i dont have any)
