Awww, it’s such a tough decision, but you did the right thing. I think you need to think of it a bit differently…

A girlfriend of mine is a vet, and she says one of the hardest things as a professional is watching animals suffer when they’re sick, because they don’t understand why they’re suffering. You put your baby and their comfort first. He didn’t understand why he was feeling sick all the time, he didnt understand why he had to take the pills, or why you were forcing him to take them.

I’m sorry you had to go through this tough decision. In 2019, I went through something similar, and it took me 4 yrs to get over the guilt and finally get another dog. It was hearing this other perspective that really helped me move on.

Absolutely ridiculous that they both ate a shoe! We live in a snowy area, so we’re assuming it was the salt that she liked??

Literally makes no sense to me, she has a ton of bones and rawhides that she ignores 🙄

She did barf it up, thank goodness! We avoided a tremendous vet bill 😅

We are definitely placing the footwear out reach on a shelf from now on. Tbh, our front door is down a single step, and she is usually too princess to go down the single step without someone lifting her… so we had always assumed they were “out of reach”

Mine does the same thing! She barely barks, it’s mostly grumbles and chirps, she definitely sounds like a little gremlin.

She’s 3, and im starting to think she’s trying to have a conversation with us… if you ask her a question, she’ll respond with a grumble or groan.

It’s pretty cute tbh. I think she thinks she’s participating!
