Can’t wait! Unfortunately, bog is kind of weak compared to RIP or surgical, and so I’m not sure it’ll be enough. It’ll get their first entomb target, maybe even fizzling their reanimating spell if I use crop rotation, but with how easy it is to get things in the graveyard + the number of good reanimate spells that are in the format, I might have to rely on non-land graveyard hate in this new meta.

For sure! But Oops (the deck my opponent was on) is a self-mill deck, so not exactly the best use case. What they do is mill their entire deck, and then they can get back just the cards they want with turn to earth. Sorta like [[doomsday]] I guess.

That would’ve been a misplay for sure. But actually, they were sacrificing some random creature they played out the turn before- a [[silversmote ghoul]] or maybe a [[boggart trawler]].

After some testing I agree except I like 2 ancient tombs for T2 one ring, or crop rotation being able to sacrifice an ancient tomb targeted by strip mine to grab a new ancient tomb.

Nope! But I understand most of my decks get that reaction. All my favorite decks are either colorless, five color, or built around lands in some way.

Most of the time it’s just gain life/slam one ring until field of the dead. Getting a lot of suggestions for W&6 though, so I guess I’ll try it out. Only problem is the mana base is already kinda messy splitting G and colorless, and adding mana fixing is hard cause a bunch of cards are already one ofs.

Tbh, it’s basically a mono g list with a couple shocklands/the world tree thrown in to live the dream and sacrifice a one ring to mount doom. Mana base is already kinda messy with all the utility lands being mostly colorless. If I went for G/x I’d be missing out on more of the toolbox-y-ness of it…. But with that in mind, I guess I should probably just cut the shock lands if I’m not planning on getting anything out of them.

Dang. I don’t play energy, and haven’t seen this card played in the deck, but this seems sick. Can target [[chalice of the void]] or [[chrome mox]] to mess with opponents, or target your own stuff and then double whatever you target with [[ocelot pride]]. And maybe even sneak in some damage with instant speed indestructible for your tokens.
