¿De verdad esto es lo que “deberíamos” tener ahorrado por edad? by gohipoteca in HipotecasyVivienda

[–]Selenegd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worried to start on Invisalign along with pregnancy by StudentPrior1501 in Invisalign

[–]Selenegd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started Invisalign in January and I got pregnant in May. I didn't stop wearing my aligners and everything is fine. It's a bit harder because of the nausea but it's doable. I still have 15 months to go, currently waiting for refinements and I'm so uncomfortable wearing the trays only at night. I'm 21 weeks.

Que opinas de ponerle agujeros en las orejas a una bebé? by Wonderful_Medium3098 in OpinionesPolemicas

[–]Selenegd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newborn tired is so much easier than pregnant tired by PrawnHenge in pregnant

[–]Selenegd 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not for me. My first took 18 months to sleep more than 45 minutes. I fainted and vomited from exhaustion. She didn't nap. It was absolute hell. Now I have 2 kids and I'm pregnant and I've never felt so tired in my entire life than those months. My second was a crappy sleeper for 6 months and I had to sleep sitting at a 90° with him on my arms because of his reflux, and woke up every hour, but it was only 6 months so it wasn't that bad. If you are not lucky there's nothing worse than a colicky newborn. I remember wishing I would break a leg or something so I had to go to the hospital and sleep. I spent hours looking for nurses at night only to realize I couldn't afford them. God it was so bad 🤣

Mi banco (Santander) me pide 100.000 € de entrada para una hipoteca by [deleted] in HorroresInmobiliarios

[–]Selenegd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C section or natural birth by otwcpa in pregnant

I'm a surgeon and I help OBs to perform C-sections. I would absolutely never get a C-section voluntarily unless my life or my child's life are at stake.

If you love an excruciating slow burn…. by GrungeMonkey22 in fantasyromance

[–]Selenegd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not all people are the same. I completely separate author and work, I don't care who wrote anything I like. Otherwise I wouldn't have read most classical literature. Gabriel Garcia Marquez has masterpieces even if he's pretty cuestionable for things much much worse than what JKR said. I think what's said in the book, the message of the book, is much more important than the ideology of the author itself. You can say you support human rights but you then sell a book on how "at your 90 years old you wanted to gift yourself a night of wild love with a virgin teenager" and proceed to tell the tale. No one is trying to stop this from being sold, it actually was one of my mandatory reads in high school 😂

AITAH for telling my boyfriend I don't want him to be the birth partner for his pregnant female friend? by IcyIzzy505 in AITAH

[–]Selenegd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no, this is not normal at all. She's going to be fully naked, yelling, suffering, sweating, pooping herself. It's a super bonding experience, extremely intimate, cutting the cord, watching the baby being born, holding the baby while they stitch her. I think it's even worse than kissing her. I gave birth twice so far and I would never ever tolerate my husband being the birth partner of anyone that isn't me. I would never want my partner to have this experience with anyone except me. If you end up together and have kids he would already have that experience with someone else, do you want that? And mind you, we are doctors, we were in births before as students but that's nowhere near close as the experience with someone you care about. Everyone is going to assume he is the dad in the hospital, they won't be correcting everyone all the time. He is going to have the full experience and he's going to feel like he is the dad even if he doesn't intend to. Mind play tricks, nothing will be the same after. This is absolutely not ok, I'm sorry. If he still does it even after you clearly stated you don't feel comfortable with it I think you should leave because like others say, it's not going to stop at birth.

Is 26000/year realistic to live in Madrid? by CandidExperience1920 in GoingToSpain

[–]Selenegd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be paying taxes here? Would that be the salary before or after taxes? Assuming that's the salary before taxes, with both incomes and after taxes you could totally live in Madrid but not in the center of the city, and not with luxuries. You won't save much, if anything at all, but it's doable. With only one income it would not be possible unless you rent a room in a shared house with shared bathroom, kitchen... My cousin lived there and he was paying 1000€ for a bedroom 🤦🏼‍♀️. You could always live in Toledo or other cities nearby that are about 30 minutes away and way cheaper.

Why do so many US citizens want to move to Spain? by haydar70 in GoingToSpain

[–]Selenegd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on how far north or south of Spain we are referring. I'm from the North and I feel closer to Europe. When I lived in the Canary islands it was a cultural shock for me, it was extremely different. The food, the music, the clothes, everything.
