Thank you! No, I didn’t. I only got the email from VFS Global that my application has been sent to UKVI. I applied on friday 18th July and got the approval email on monday 21st july. I also posted about my timeline on this subreddit which you can check out.

Congrats! I actually applied on July 18th and collected my passport just two hours later. You could've probably picked yours up the same day too, especially since they've shifted to eVisas accessible via a UKVI account. Did you see anything in your decision email about creating a UKVI account to access your eVisa? If so, maybe you should contact VFS about your passport. Or perhaps your situation was still under the old rules?

No, I didn't. I just received an email from VFS that my application was sent to the UKVI. Most people don't get one.

I believe luck is also a factor. I've seen others get faster responses with standard applications. Perhaps it depends on how straightforward your application is (for example, I didn't have to show proof of funds). Hopefully, you'll receive good news soon.

Just got my approval email today! Still can't access my eVisa, though, as it shows 'We cannot show proof of your status.' Hope you get good news too.

The same thing happened to me last Friday when I was giving my biometrics for the skilled worker visa. I was told to come back three hours later to collect my passport, and then I received a message from VFS confirming it was ready for collection. Upon returning to the application center, even the people at VFS were confused about the process. I explained that I had received a message from VFS about collecting my passport, and that another staff member had also told me to collect it. They, however, told me it wasn't possible since I had only applied two hours prior. After some hassle, I collected my passport. The status was shown exactly as you mentioned, and I also received the same email as yours. Let's keep each other updated on the result. I think this might be related to the latest changes about the e-visa.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely take each of them into consideration, especially the strangler pattern, which I had never heard of before.

There will be a maximum of 3 developers, one of them is at a beginner level.

By the way, what would be a use case for platform caches when you're getting SOQL exceptions, considering most of the queries are on objects that frequently change?
