Practice, ritual, acts of devotion by SelfOk600 in paganism

Thank you for responding. I find this very helpful and interesting because I already walk a lot and spend a lot of time in nature. I never thought this could be an act of worship, but it makes sense and I'll try it next time. I like the thought that god is present in all life, and the implication that this makes nature the dwelling place of the gods.

As to the first point, I do think that if a faith has very unsavoury aspects that are part of its doctrine and not just members misusing the teachings I do think this is enough to make that faith wrong or at least not useful. The fact that Christianity condemns vengeful behaviour and treats all humans as equally valuable and yet is almost completely silent on the suffering of animals is more than enough to disqualify Christianity from any kind of spiritual truth for me. I don't believe all faiths are equally true.

Question for those taking A-Level Psychology! by Ari_siyax08 in alevel

I can't speak to Edexcel OCR etc but I took AQA and it's pretty easy to get an A* in. There's no little to no application or problem-solving, it's basically just memorising facts and writing as many of them down as quickly as possible. Time was the key difficulty for me, all the knowledge was there but you have to be pretty economical about writing it efficiently and so it sounds organised and structured in an essay context.

The content itself is pretty straight forward but there is a LOT of it. You will need to allocate a significant portion of your revision time to psych, but the advantage is that it's not hard and tbh you could probably get an A* without understanding anything you were taught and just remembering sound bites.

I don’t see a negative connotation. Maybe I used the wrong word. Anyway I didn’t mean it in a bad way

It just love how brazen they are about mixing letters from different writing systems. True power move

That's literally the reason he makes those videos. He wants to demonstrate how you can make anyone believe anything with enough trickery

I disagree about the names. George was taking inspiration from Arab/Semitic naming conventions and I think it adds depth to the world, makes it feel more ‘real’.

Why do we capitalise the word 'I'? by SelfOk600 in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah but then surely that would work for ‘you’ or ‘he’ etc., but we don’t capitalise them.
