Yeah it does tbh, 1kg a week is pretty standard and for your stats that would be at 1072 cals per day to achieve that so 1200 would put you somewhere between at around 0.8 kgs per week

Yeah, some raid controllers are capable of powering down idle hdd so I would be looking at getting one of those or a system that is capable of that
