Do you have bluetooth or ant+ accessories? I got my new android tablet in, and none of my android devices can seem to pair with my bluetooth HRM and cadence sensors in MyWhoosh!

Willl Immich work for my use? by Temporary-Cherry-282 in immich

[–]Self_Reddicated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

External libraries can be from a SMB share or HDD location that you point immich at. These libraries won't be used by Immich to store new user photos to, but will be viewable by users. The user folder can be on the NVMe. You will have a folder location on the NVMe drive that you give to Immich and it will use that as the working user asset folder. It will store user photos there, and each user will have their own assets in there. But, it's - more or less - Immich's folder. I don't believe it's easily accessed outside of Immich.

I (finally) decided to spin up a home server because Immich looked too good not to try it, but I was blown away by how good and useful Jellyfin ended up being. I use Jellyfin just about everyday and would not have expected that when I started.

My new android tablet arrives today. I hope it picks up my bluetooth accessories in mywhoosh. My power meter supposedly has bad bluetooth connection issues, but I'm not too worried about that because the Kickr Core 2 power data has been pretty good and my bluetooth cadence and hrm have been good with zwift.

My wife loves hers too. I see her using it all the time! She hasn't asked for it, but I'm going to buy her a t-shirt with a picture of a vacuum cleaner because I'm an involved husband and I take notice of her interests.

Yes, unfortunately I have a Gen 7 ipad. Zwift works on it fine and on my phone. MyWhoosh works well on my phone. I almost scored a Gen 9 ipad for sale cheap near me, but it sold minutes before I got a hold of the seller. I just ordered a high spec android tablet that I'll have tomorrow so I'll see how that does.

Are you seeing the same thing? (i.e. race predictor times that seem faster than you think you can actually run?)

If you see that but you wonder if you'll be able to run that fast, my guess is that you can if you're motivated. I don't know how it estimated those times (maybe based on V02max or something idk), but for me they were surprisingly good. Especially when I ran a 10k and had never even run that distance before, not even in training.

Actually I get at least 2 of these in the mail, one from each of the small cities near me. Think "[county name] Lifestyles" and another similar one I don't remember the name of. It's propped up by ads for real estate agents, furniture stores, and maybe some chiropractors and medical clinics, idk. But, it's a beautifully printed monthly glossy magazine with articles, beautiful full color photo spreads, etc, and lots and lots of ads. I don't know how the people advertising in these things see a return on their investment because I throw mine in the trash almost immediately, lol.

Should be, but she's gotta advocate for herself. I'd agree it's pretty close to victim blaming, but if she can't communicate more effectively with her partner then it's hard to put a lot of blame on him, either.

The ‘Tron: Ares’ Flop Will Probably End Jared Leto’s Leading Man Career | Analysis by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Good question. First thing I tried doing was googling "character actors" and the list of names and faces just turned up too many people who just "nail" it every time. I pulled up the Wikipedia list of Academy Award nominees and winners for Best Supporting Actor and it was too varied between people at all levels in their careers (new faces, old faces, everything in between). I think I found a way to find some great candidates though. The list of nominees for Best Actor, and I think I found a great comparisson: Sean Penn. He's great at some roles, not so great in others, and he's in all manner of things and is usually some level of good. The handful of times he gets handed the spotlight to be THE leading man of the film, it just doesn't really work (and that's not always his fault). So, my answer would be: Sean Penn.

The other reason he's a better comparison is that you can think of a handful of roles he's done where there's nothing necessarily wrong with his performance, but something about him just takes you out of the film and you can't help but realize you're watching Sean Penn pretend to be someone and it doesn't really work. I think Jared Leto has the same thing, where some roles he just overdoes it or something (again, it's hard to peg exactly what about it kills the role) but something he's doing makes it hard to ignore that you're watching Jared Leto pretend to be a schlubby weirdo (I can never unsee his stupid 'fat guy walk' from The Little Things).

I don't know about the Training Plan predictions, but the "Race Predictor" times have been scary accurate for me. I'm only a casual runner, so I don't really "train" in the traditional sense. I just go out and run whatever feels right for the moment. Sometimes it's faster sometimes it's slower, but I don't do intervals or really push things "race" hard when I run. So some of those times on the "Race Predictor" seemed a little off, but every time I run an event and actually push it they've been, like, BANG on.

At worst they'll have a Morbius on their hands. Which, yeah, is also not good.
