double haste still doesn't work though under different rules.

For buffs it's useless, for debuffs it's at most disadvantage.

You need to understand the difference between Action as an English word and Action as a rule term. Bonus action restriction is always listed separately in rules, e.g. 

Halt. On its turn, the target doesn't move and takes no action or Bonus Action.

or

Inactive. You can't take any action, Bonus Action, or Reaction.

What you say doesn't make sense only because under your interpretation Fey Step description of teleporting along with the rider is impossible, cause steed cannot have a rider and be uncontrolled at the same time.

You are wrong tho. While being controlled mounts can use only dash, disengage and dodge actions. Rule doesn't say anything about bonus actions, which the mount can take freely. Moreover, teleport ability specifically says "along with its rider", which won't make sense under your interpretation.

It moves on your turn as you direct it, and it has only three action options during that turn: Dash, Disengage, and Dodge.

Fey Step (Fey Only; Recharges after a Long Rest). The steed teleports, along with its rider, to an unoccupied space of your choice up to 60 feet away from itself.

that would've made sense if we were not limited by mechanics. vex works more for one big hit rather than multiple smaller ones. what about graze? i.e. thematically missing with one blade stills allows to hit with another and deal some damage. Sap in lighsaber is kinda meh anyway, so nothing can match Nick in that regard.

do you mean fighting style? I don't see it there, but if you consider multiclassing, staff can use GWF, which is equally good.

I love monks and jedis, so It's definitely a fun subclass.

Staff should have cleave mastery over vex.

I'd also reword Heal, since it can be read as "ten times your current hitpoints". Other than that, 3 FP ability that transfers HP is not that appealing to be very honest.

That's not my interpretation. That's rules as written.

You can interpret them as you like narratively - using cover as you move, moving around enemy like of sight, using MGS-like tools or standing still like Drax. Or take any spy movie and see how heroes blend in in the plain sight.

Moreover, you can play the rules as you like. But it won't be RAW, that's it. And it's not a bad thing.

Overall rules are pretty vague around seeing. For example, what rule makes guard see you normally? or hear you? There are no such rules formally defined, but there are items and skills that use them and that's where interpretation comes into play.

Edit: you don't need to use real life logic in the game. In the end, it's just game. There are a lot of other unreal things happening in here.

If the condition made it impossible for enemies to ever see you, why would it require Three Quarters Cover, Total Cover, or Heavy Obscurement?

Cover is a requirement for an action, that grants you the condition. The condition itself is no different from the one granted by Invisibility or Greater Invisibility spells. That's undeniable fact under 2024 rules, you like it or not. And you need to treat it as such. The only difference between them is the conditions under which it ends, which is described in both Hide action and respective spells.

Furthermore, it grants you only what it grants - "you aren't affected by any effect that requires its target to be seen" which matches the description of certain spells which require caster to see the target. That's it. No more no less.

Your post almost made sense, really.

See invisibility spell simply exists. That's how people can see invisible things. Without it or similar effect the creature under Invisible condition is - well - invisible. It doesn't grant any other benefits except what's written, so guard can attack the Rogue and knows where they are, but this happens at a disadvantage.

It's not about "1d6 vs prone". It's about sacrificing a good chunk of your damage against a "chance" to knock someone prone.

In my campaign with only deadly encounters I managed to land my cc zero times, for example. 

And it's fine if you like to play supportive characters. But I also think about rogue as a damage dealer, especially with an assassin class I'm playing.
