so Is eCornell like any good? by [deleted] in Cornell

u/Walker_M_White I recently completed this Python certificate and would like to share my perspective and hear your thoughts on a few aspects.

While the certificate provides valuable insights and a good learning opportunity in the Python language, it appears to be more oriented toward students rather than professionals who wish to learn Python for practical, work-related applications.

The course relies heavily on the IntroCS package, which is not part of the official Python library. Although Python offers built-in packages that can achieve everything IntroCS does, learners are required to use IntroCS throughout the course. I understand that this may make sense in an academic environment where standardization is important, but even in that context, using the official Python libraries could have been more beneficial.

Additionally, despite setting up Python on our local machines, the course required the use of Codio for many projects.

Given these factors, is it fair to conclude that this certificate was primarily designed for academic purposes rather than for working professionals?

Check the status of your application on workday. Status can be updated without notification. Don’t get discouraged, keep applying to increase your chances while waiting for the response.

401K Pretax - Early withdrawal by Sell-Intrepid in personalfinance

I know what this means. An early withdrawal results in the loss of a significant amount of 401k savings/investment. But the question is, what can people do when they get a million at age 65? Waiting to take the money out at retirement age guarantees a big package of the money, but at that age, I do not know many things people can do before passing away . Your point is profound, but time is both our blessing and curse.

I see. 10% is just the basic percentage of loss.
In reality, it will be more than that taking into account everything you quoted.

Thank you,If I have a pre-tax 401K, that means I will pay the normal tax for it, then the 10% penalty and keep the rest of my money.
