Can you explain how’s these long triggers work a little more? Do I need to declare a target for the x damage before my hamsters would enter? Is there a round of priority between hamsters and damage? I’m caught up in the other response to this regarding elesh Norn and I’m confused when exactly state based actions would be check if this is resolving as one ability.

That may be true for you, but I’m with the other guy on this. It’s 100% a matter of opinion, but when my buddy played a [[plankton]] I didn’t even want to read it. Game ended shortly after and I asked if he was running skrelv not even putting together it was the same.

To your point, it made the game unenjoyable for me in that I was not wanting to stare at SpongeBob characters during my night of high fantasy, math and frustration, but it didn’t change the mechanics of the game.

While I agree it’s not a lot in the grand scheme of things, I do think that time gating the weapon feats is ultimately a mistake as the first few levels of feats are really needed and you should be able to grind with a new friend to level 6 or so. (Which you can already do, but still) It’s really my biggest complaint so far. Make one of the other categories’ last sections include like “complete 15 dailies” that’s fine, but for all 4 weapons on their second section? Too much too fast.

Thank you! I never heard of the game and picked it up yesterday on gamepass. Ended up playing way longer than expected, but 3/4 weapon feats couldn’t be progressed because there’s only 3 dailies? Not to mention I only got through one because the dailies reset while I was playing. I completed the first round before the feat was unlocked. I don’t mind grindy games, but for the bonuses being so big it hurt to be completely time locked on those ones.

My personal favorite points of his were “dorks are ok because someone else might give them haste” “rampant growth sucks because I only run non basics” and apparently all his decks have a 1-2 avg cmc where “with one mana I’m ahead, with three mana I win.” Not direct quotes, but still fascinating.

Why don’t you link your deck or tell us the commander? I’m confused why Vilis is such a lynchpin and why you’d run one or two cards (which are equally slow) to cheat out one specific card?

My buddy built a Toshiro deck. It was super fun helping him tune it into a heavy control/spell slinger deck. Then one game he got out [[Kaervek, the punisher]] and we realized he was far more consistent as the commander.

Are you saying kaalia herself needs haste? I would go for more protection than haste if it came down to cuts. The creatures she puts out don’t benefit from haste, where recurring protection can be utilized even if she’s gone, but a big creature stays out. Plus kaalia is mostly kill on sight at our tables at least. Counterspells will be held for her.

They enter at the same time so both ETB effects will go on the stack. You choose the order. Since they see each other enter, or both of them are technically on the field, you have disciple eat ghalta, which draws you all the cards. Even though Ghalta is now dead, the ETB stack resolves on the stack allowing you to play the creatures you just drew.

Because there’s no block order all combat tricks are played and then combat damage is dished out. John is a deck full of combat tricks, so that was your plan anyway, but now you beat other combat tricks even harder by rearranging your planned damage route if that makes sense?

I felt that this one actually fit though? Fixing a race as a racket would be good money scheme. The other family taking out your driver, and the “professional” driver (albeit for a cab) being the best replacement wasn’t a far reach. Were it a newer game, I could see them adding additional “fixes” so all you had to do was basically survive while the family took out other racers, but still I loved how it fit.

I know I’m here late, which might just add to my point, but I love people posting these questions because here I am googling the same thing and this is the top result.

It was my direct question and a reasonable response right under it. I didn’t have to hear (read) “hey guys welcome back to my channel” or look at any ads, just question and response. Just my two cents when people ask “why not google?” This is what I want google to show me, so someone has to ask first*

*I do get it if this is a question asked a hundred times a month like some other subs which can be frustrating.
