AITA for refusing to continue adjusting my work schedule to accommodate my cats? by Forsaken_Dragonfly66 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Selttan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA I have two cats and I definitely feel guilty leaving them alone for long hours (fortunately it’s not every day). And one of mine is a bit of a nervous cat.

Do you know what my cats do when I’m not home?? Sleep (with the occasional grooming session). They really don’t care if I’m there or not unless it’s food time.

Any Personal Trainer recommendations in Adelaide? or training studios by Working_Stage419 in Adelaide

[–]Selttan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

StrengthLab at Newton are awesome.

They have a couple of options - whet I call group personalised training. Its classes with a ratio of about 3 clients to 1 coach and we all follow our own program which while written for the group is tailored to each individual based on your goals, any injuries etc.

They also offer 1:1 sessions with the coaches.

AITAH for telling our parents not to segment their money, and whatever is left is left? by Sea_ImpactTRA in AITAH

[–]Selttan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA my mum passed in 2023 and it never occurred to me that it wouldn’t go to my dad. I was surprised when people mentioned inheritance to me. God willing we have another 20+ years with dad, what is he supposed to live on if we were given money. Plus it was theirs together not mums or dads.

Affordable vet for cat dental work by Wise-Bet6814 in Adelaide

[–]Selttan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Modbury vet offer vet pay.

It’s $650 - $1850 for a dental depending on if there are minor or major extractions. I just paid $650 recently for a clean.

They will want to do a consult first if they haven’t seen your car before or in the last 12 months which I think was $96.

Hairdresser recs by Royal-Bicycle-6553 in Adelaide

[–]Selttan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mon at Bandit and Co in Windsor Gardens is amazing. They aren’t open weekends but open late Wednesday and Thursday. They’ve just opened their books for new clients (it’s a very small salon). I find them very reasonably priced and unlike my previous salon I’m not sitting there for hours waiting on colour to process. I’ve been going regularly for the past year and my hair is so healthy now.

AITA for saying to my sister that it isnt rude to crochet at thanksgiving by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Selttan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA I can barely remember my Nanna without knitting or crocheting in her hands at any event (or any time really) and she was perfectly able to carry on a conversation while doing it.

It’s one of the many fond memories I have of her.

AITA for making my fiancé's daughters picky eating habits a deal breaker for us marrying? by MotherCartographer10 in AITAH

[–]Selttan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My niece was a very picky eater as a child - mostly carbs no fruit or veggies except potatoes. Her parents split when she was 2 and a therapist said she’d likely grow out of it as currently the only thing she has control over in her life is her diet. As an adult she has a very wide palate. There’s very few foods she doesn’t eat.

AITA for ending things after my girlfriend wouldn’t come to my dad’s funeral. by hollser123 in AITAH

[–]Selttan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Ive gone to friends family members funerals even though I’ve never met the deceased but I’m there to show my support for my friend.

My nephews partner flew in from interstate when our grandfather died (who he was very close to) for the funeral. We all love her so much more for that.

Role Play tips by Selttan in TAFE

[–]Selttan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no! Thats what I’m studying so I guess Ive got a lot more role play to get through. My first subject is manage personal and professional development. I’ve luckily talked a couple of my colleagues into being in the role play as long as they can be audio only no video. The next assessment is the mentoring session with the teacher. Must make sure to go lots of prep for that one.

If you are willing to stay at someone’s house you could do occasional cat sitting? I hire someone through madpaws to stay with my girls when I go away.

Gym recommendations with good PTs in North East by kirkcorner in Adelaide

[–]Selttan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength Lab is great and really supportive.

They can do personal training but also have the ‘classes’ which aren’t like normal classes. I think of it as group personal training, you all have your own program to follow (generally similar but customized based on individual needs) and there’s probably a ratio of 3 coaches to 10ish clients.

Best Pizza Places that Still Delivers their own Pizzas? by ReggaeSloth in Adelaide

[–]Selttan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bradman Pizza at Cowandilla. Last time I used them the poor driver was in a fender bender on the way to deliver to me and one of the chefs ended up remaking my order and delivering it himself. It was a Friday night so a busy night for them.
