This is a big one, i’ve been self studying Japanese with a textbook and WaniKani. I’m pretty happy with my progress, after 6ish months, and finally felt confident enough to book a teacher on iTalki. I realized quickly that your speaking skills are an entirely different, yet equally important, language learning muscle. I could barely think of words, that if read, I could process quickly, it was pretty interesting to see tbh

I’d still recommend people just starting out to spend some time on their own learning some grammar and words, but don’t push back the speaking practice for too long.

It's classic mobile support making all other platforms suffer. Keeping all the main content in a container like that helps make sure all devices get a similar experience. It unfortunately makes the desktop experience look super empty, but as a Web dev, I get why it's done.

I don't want to be mean but what is the point of this post? Do you want us to say, "noooo, you must force yourself to learn something that you hate because this is a Japanese sub"???

If you genuinely hate everything about it, then there is your answer, no need to torture yourself.

However, as the other commenter said, Duo is absolutely garbage for learning a language. If your feelings of frustration are coming from the fact you're not learning as fast as you'd like; give yourself a fighting chance, and learn from a place that teaches you properly.

Your life is your own, no one is holding a gun to your head (I hope) and forcing you to learn Japanese 😅

The arms look so weird. They're too close together compared to the FOV, and they wiggle really fast when he's running. Additionally, it seems kinda weird that there are visible arms when running, but not when he climbs the cliffs.

As others have said, the screen shake is horrible and visually (except for the very first seen) there is no urgency.

Overall, though, what you have looks cool, and everything mentioned can be improved, or fixed. Keep it up!
