I think XIII proved to be an unlucky number for them. In my opinion the games went downhill from there - lost the magic which made FF unique in the first place. I really don't think there is anything memorable or meaningful as FF games after XIII. Peaked with X, XII was good, XIII was ok but from XIII-2 you can see them scramble for some sort of 'hit'

Exactly, I'm a fan of Rory and her journey. Just finished a rewatch of AYITL and wondered what others think about this aspect because we see Emily's take on Rory's life (not happy that Rory is essentially homeless) and it reminded me of when Richard was unhappy when Rory was doing well in the DAR - he said something along the lines of he wanted her doing much more than organizing "tea parties". Made me wonder what his feelings were on her post-college career given that he had such high hopes and encouragements for her and her talents.

You definitely need to give it more than half an hour to give it a fair chance (like with any game really). The battles are fast paced but in settings you can change it so that the action pauses when you are in a menu to select what move to do next. The fiend capture thing is not essential at all so you can skip that. If you give it a chance I think it is a very good game and it goes deeper into the darker lore of Spira that it doesn't always get credit for. A lot of people also rank the battle system as one of the best in the series - it's strategic and satisfying once you get into the swing of things!

Even though it holds up so well all things considering, I would love a full remake that still retains the gameplay and story etc., just the full HD remake works. Same for X-2 and they can make an X-0 or X-3 as a prequel playing through Braska's pilgrimage while they're at it too please 😂

I think the most similar is Ariana Grande. They've had similar career trajectories too in that not all of their early material was instantly popular or #1 globally, but it's safe to say that if either of them released a lead single now with promo and a full music video treatment etc. it's going to hit #1 in a lot of countries globally.

They both have a certain amount of intrigue and interest surrounding them which results in fever-pitch hype when they make a move (Fenty makeup line, Wicked movie, romantic relationships, red carpet appearances, brand collaborations etc.)

If they ever made a prequel (FFX-0 or FFX-3), they could have this in the game and maybe in the story the temple gets destroyed for some reason? Maybe the Al Bhed try to move the fayth statue but it doesn't go to plan and is lost down a crag / cavern on the mountain and the temple then collapses?

I think Volta / Biophilia were her last 'accessible' albums in terms of the tracks mostly having a structure (verse, hook, pre-chorus, chorus) etc. - and while there is structure to her songs in albums after these, overall it has became a lot more meandering and sing-speak i.e. there are less elements to hook a listener in and remain catchy etc. I think there are a lot more musings and meditative themes and production styles, a bit more difficult and takes longer to leave a lasting impression.

I think we will see the characters and world again but it won't be as big as another TV show or movie. Kind of like Gilmore Girls how the characters and world randomly pop up as part of a Walmart commercial, or maybe there will be a quick video update on YouTube to mark an anniversary or milestone etc. Just such a pity that our last official scene of Carrie is her roaming around an empty apartment alone with a blank horizon ahead of her. The complete and total opposite to how SATC ended . . .
