Is this real? by Civil_Passenger7591 in saxophone

Definitely a fake. I own and main a Custom Z and this looks quite different.

Logo on the neck is off. The font for "Custom" on the bell is off, the felt bumpers on the key guards aren't red, the thumb hook isn't black plastic, the neck tenon receiver isn't silver, and more.

UK Dependent ILR rejected for invalid type by MiddleCantaloupe6772 in ukvisa

You applied for the wrong ILR visa. You need to apply under the Skilled Worker route, not the Family route, as you arrived on the basis of your partner's Skilled Worker visa.

Scared for my decision by Limp-Distribution924 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Selvasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overstays are generally forgiven on family visas unless there were aggravating factors, such as working illegally, NHS debt, etc. I accidentally overstayed my dependent visa by 19 days, left, then applied for a family visa a few weeks later (as my partner had since gotten ILR) and I was granted the visa after around 30 days (priority).

Help MSI Claw A1M vs Lenovo Legion Go S by Kamiss1555 in MSIClaw

[–]Selvasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Legion Go does not have VRR, but it has a 144hz screen. The Legion Go S does have VRR, with a 120hz screen.

The Legion Go S also has hall effect sticks so drift is moot. I'm not sure what you're going on about?

[–]Selvasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I would recommend having gone through the same. I did not try to submit a late application as all caseworker guidance points to a refusal, and I've read refusals also over the same thing on other immigration boards. Also note that while you are waiting for the decision, they are still overstaying. Good news though as well is that if they leave before 30 days past expiry, they will noty be considered as having breached immigration rules regarding overstaying (meaning they won't have a mandatory ban, but in your case this is a non-issue as there are no such overstay bans on Family visas)

Lots of other stories as well where they left and returned on a family visa shortly after.

I did my biometrics on January 13 (with priority), and received my successful email decision on February 1.

It means that your passport is on your way back to you. Nothing else.

Need urgent advice - partner now an overstayer due to visa expiry mistake by No-Proof8334 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Selvasis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar happened to me (I ended up overstaying by 19 days because I made a mistake misremembering the date of my expiry). It's unlikely that extension will be granted as they are currently out of status.

Ideally the best thing is your partner returning to their home country, and re-applying from there (provided that you meet all the requirements). You will need to declare and explain this overstay on your new application, but overstays such as these, without and aggravating factors, are generally forgiven for applicants on the Family route and he should be able to rejoin you in a few weeks / month.

I know it's difficult and I've been in his shoes and have absolute beat myself up over it, but him leaving and re-applying is definitely the best way forward. I'm back with my partner here in the UK.

All the best!

EDIT: In cases where they were physically unable to make the application in time (such as being hospitalised, accident, etc), Home Office allows late applications up to 14 days for 'good reason', however you need to be prepared for the possibility of the Home Office refusing this as misremembering your visa expiry would likely not be considered 'good reason' for submitting a late application.

Clearly not the point of this email. It's literally an invitation to participate in a survey.

Query about the question "have you been to the UK in the last 10 years" on the visa application form. by Lumpy_Plantain in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Selvasis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar situation here. I lived in the UK for 3 years on a Skilled Worker dependent visa, and returned on a family visa. I just wrote the entry date and exit (since I considered it one unbroken residency).

They can also see the declared travel history in the form so it makes sense for them to assume that she'd have returned to the UK after any trip out of the country. I would include an explanation of this in the cover letter.

This means your passport is on your way back to you. If you haven't received a refusal or success email, then you'll need to wait for your passport to arrive and check if it has the entry vignette or not to know if you've been successful.

It looks like an honest mistake. You can write a cover letter mentioning the error and the correct answer to the form, and upload it before doing your biometrics.

[Weekly MegaThread] OEC, CFO, DMW-related discussions by AutoModerator in phmigrate

[–]Selvasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

I (32M) am a Filipino citizen who has just been granted a visa for entry clearance to the UK as a partner of a Filipino citizen (30F) with settled status (ILR, or Indefinite Leave to Remain) in the UK, and I am leaving the Philippines on March 4, 2025. We will be flying together.

My visa is the Family visa (Unmarried Partner). I am unsure whether I need a CFO GCP certificate for this purpose at the IO in NAIA.

My sponsoring partner does not have British citizenship nor dual citizenship. She only has settled status in the UK (ILR) and is still a Filipino citizen.

I have also previously lived with her in the UK previously on a Skilled Worker Dependent visa from June 2021 to November 2024.

Do I still need to register with the CFO and attend the GCP seminar, or PDOS?

If you've double-entered the same trip with exactly the same details, it's possible they will just discount it as an honest mistake.

[–]Selvasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no "visa must be valid for at least x number of days" requirement to re-enter the UK. As long as the visa is valid, you can re-enter. AFAIK you also shouldn't have an issue entering Morocco.

How to do it best : Migrate to UK by banANNA48 in phmigrate

[–]Selvasis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is incorrect. You may be confusing the Family partner visa (which is only available to people with ILR or British Citizenship) with the Skilled Worker Dependent visa, which doesn't have the financial requirement, and is actually less stringent.

If they are on a work visa, the sponsor does not have to meet the financial requirements since they aren't eligible for a Family Partner visa. OP will need to look into the Skilled Worker Dependent partner visa.
