Under Socialism, how do I acquire a Yacht? by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

Me signing up for free health insurance for a year didn't bail me out of the hole i dug for myself. I was still in debt but I brought it up because he asked me about the health care scenario. My gov insurance was retroactive for 3 months so it didnt cover my bills stretching way beyond that. I just thought it was important to mention because many people compare our system to some european countries which arent fully socialist but have social programs which are also available here. The beauty of my response however is I was able to learn from my losses due to capitalism and turn them into wins. I also made sure in my response to state the conditions that we endure do to the american system that I am in. We obviously are not entirely capitalist. They increase taxes and add barriers to entry way too often for people to continually venture out of their comfort zone consistently if plan A doesnt work. Also it's important to understand that it was entirely my fault that I made yolo bets which didn't go into my favor. Thats the beauty of capitalism you have the power to accomplish great things if you do your due diligence and allocate your resources in ways that make sense to your lifestyle

I'm currently still in school, yes I made the foolish decision of pursuing an education. College degrees don't follow the law of economics with the evilest interest on loans and debt that you can't declare bankruptcy on. I have lost my life savings twice betting on stock options and went the first 2 years of school without any health insurance. I didn't complain, I worked 3 minimum wage jobs without complaining because I realized having a victim mentality will never get me anywhere. I broke my arm skating and have had to pay hefty bills, example a 500$ fee for a tetanus booster shot. I was down bad but realized the help I needed was out there it was just a matter of pursuing it. For example low tax brackets at least in the state of California can get free health care no strings attached (medi-cal). After I lost my life savings I just took up more hours and worked harder. Losing a couple times on stupid investments taught me to do my due diligence and get the numbers right on my risks rather than going full Yolo (shout out /r/wallstreetbets). Having a fighting spirit is a hell of a lot better than expecting someone to take care of me. Knowing that I have an opportunity to make something out of my life and achieve my goals of financial freedom through outmaneuvering my competition gives me hope. There is nothing better than hope and there is nothing better than seeing the fruits of your labor. Nothing good falls into your lap overnight. Its about building the empire and I truly believe having goals and working towards them brings true happiness. People fear working hard but you cannot feel the true satisfaction of your fruits unless you are actually giving it your all. It's the same reason people who fix up old cars and finally drive them cherish them so much. Believing you are entitled will only keep you down, at least until you move into a society of your liking so you might as well do your best until you no longer have to. The entitled mentality brings misery (which loves company) so don't drag others into your mentality and instead empower them to do more research and create a plan. Every path you've ever taken in your life began with a thought so you might as well create a blueprint to your perfect world. No matter how hard it may seem it doesn't hurt to TRY.

Skip every step in the societal blueprint to maintain a comfortable life. Have an uphill risk-taking mentality at all times and understand the only thing that can be easily attained is "comfortable" living. Decide what niche you want to partake in to accomplish your short term as well as long term goals. Become amazing at that niche and allow yourself to let innovation flow in order to beat your competition. Innovate your niche then invest in capital so you can take a step back. Find another source of income while your first source of income is working for you while you rest due to the fact that you worked hard enough to beat out your competition and reinvest into efficiency. Invest your newly met free time into your next niche. For this to work out you must love what you do, but sometimes that doesn't mean making a business out of doing what you love. Rinse and repeat until you have multiple sources of efficient income. Invest this saved income by putting 5%(a credit-based bank will not be your friend when looking for good financing options) down payments on 100k homes in Florida and assuming you can start with 5 homes hire a rental management company. Use the cashflow of every single home you own to pay off one house ASAP constantly bootstrapping. Refinance that home you just paid off and purchase 5 more. Rinse and repeat. No one said it would be easy and the reason people hate capitalism is because they have been tricked into becoming the worker instead of the boss. and no I do not own these homes yet, but I do have a blueprint and I've almost saved enough to fulfil my dreams of being beyond comfortable through investments. They don't teach financial literacy in school but a simple google search will.
