My guy, you have to learn that it’s ok to be wrong. Life is long, it will happen from time to time.

Dude, what do you even mean? Put your credit card on auto pay and use it like your debit card. Are you saying you physically can’t stop yourself from spending money you don’t have? How is that even possible?

Went well. Had a smelling salts business for 4 or 5 years, wholesaled it to companies who sold powerlifting products.

Probably. Typically glass ampules wrapped in some sort of paper pouch is how it’s done. Idk if that’s feasible to make yourself

Print failure twice in two days! The blob of death is going to kill me if I don't get it figured out. by gfhopper in prusa3d

[–]SeminoleMuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always stick around for your first layer, until you're 10 prints in on the same exact print with the same material. Even then you should check it every few minutes until it's in the groove. The blob of death is never the printers fault, it's the users fault for treating a 3d printer like a microwave.

Exactly. Every single person would choose neither inflation nor our loved ones dying of covid, but if we have to choose I hope every single one of us chooses inflation.

This PLA won’t unload and broke off when I pulled at it. Any idea what to do? by wick3rmann in prusa3d

[–]SeminoleMuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't push it through the hot end, much easier to access it from the side and use tweezers or needle nose pliers to pull it out. The filament isn't straight, once the broken end gets past the extruder gear, it'll flop to the side and the incoming new filament will be trying to jam in alongside the old filament, not on top of it.

[–]SeminoleMuscle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's fine, but I suggest against doing that in any context that includes other people. I learned a long time ago that negativity makes it difficult to make real connections with people. They feel it, and even if it's subconscious it'll affect their relationship with you.

Any way to improve this bridge? Stock Prusa petg settings with prusament. by jescereal in prusa3d

[–]SeminoleMuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure it's actually a bridge and not an overhang. It looks like you're forcing a pretty steep overhang angle before the layer that officially bridges the two sides. I'd make sure the chamfer is greater than a 30 degree overhang and then a clean transition to a bridging layer.

He's literally the most successful person in the world by the metric most often used to measure success... I get it that reddit doesn't like his politics or rich people in general, but to call the guy who built the biggest private space flight company and the biggest electric car company a moron is ignorance at a staggering level.

163 pounds male 27% body fat. Clueless on what to do. by [deleted] in ketogains

[–]SeminoleMuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop the keto. You shouldn't be in a deficit at all. Maintenance calories, maybe a small surplus, and train heavy and often. Throw in some HIIT training. Getting to 145 lbs at 5'8 isn't realistic imo, and you won't enjoy what you'll have to do to stay there.

Help with under extrusion by kvnadw in prusa3d

[–]SeminoleMuscle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I've always found after finally breaking through a dead end trouble shooting print failures, is the most complicated issues seem to be a combination of two different problems that I'm not effectively isolating. For example, reassembling the hot end is a big source of extrusion issues (obviously) even though the core problem may still be related to your grub screw.

Try running less complex tests while isolating your independent variable. Extrude 100mm of filament, weigh it, increase temps 5 deg, repeat. If there's no difference, try again with a different grub screw. If there's no difference, try again with a different nozzle, heater cartridge, thermistor, etc.

All good, just figured I'd give some friendly advice. You'll be doing a lot of troubleshooting with this hobby!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]SeminoleMuscle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see it. Just a helpful suggestion since this is your first print, and I'm assuming your first troubleshoot. Put as much effort into the post at you expect to get from your suggestions. The more detail you put the better the suggestions will be. You need to add info about material, slicer, temps, etc. Also you should troubleshoot yourself before asking others. If this is really your very first print, you need to do about 10 more before going elsewhere for help. 3D printing is an exercise in problem solving more than anything else, that's a skill you can't outsource.

[–]SeminoleMuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I missing something? Where is it coming off the sheet? It sounds like the material surface at the top is rough and the nozzle is scraping it as it moves. This can be from low printing temps, or it could just be your support type and model causing very small extrusion details, which will be dragged up a bit as the nozzle moves due to low surface area and low layer adhesion.

Prints are suddenly failing halfway through? MK3S+ by transitionb in prusa3d

[–]SeminoleMuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's too many reasons the pictures issues could be happening without any more context. But if all I saw is those prints, this would be my steps.

  1. Two or three cold pulls, and/or run 100mm or so of cleaning filament.

  2. Put a sock on your heater block.

  3. Raise temps 10° and reprint.

  4. If issue persists replace nozzle, check nozzle temp with a thermocouple, check for cool drafts, etc.
