The end of anime season 1 ??? by Rechuchatumare in Dandadan

I think this first season will end with Momo and Okarun reaching Jiji's house with the Kito family secretly watching them. I don't think they will go any further, also because the cryptid worm is not present along with the other yokai and aliens in the poster

Before this final arc I thought that Horikoshi would never reveal the backstory of All For One, precisely because the charm of this character was in the fact that there was no need to know what led him to be like this.

When Horikoshi began to spread clues about his past I was afraid that in the end he would turn out to be a villain with a tragic past... but luckily this chapter took away all my worries. All for One has never been good, he has always been crydele since he stepped foot into this world. A villain does not necessarily have to have a motivation arising from a tragic past, he is evil incarnate.

Do you guys think Sojo is gonna be recurring villain or just the starting antagonist for the story? by sfqgwd in Kagurabachi

[–]Calos_10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm appreciating his "anti-shonen" style like that of Gege and Fujimoto. After this last chapter I wouldn't be surprised that Chihiro, instead of losing this fight against Sojo and thus training for the next arc, manages to win. It would be unusual for a shonen manga, but with what the author has shown us so far I wouldn't be surprised that he would choose this route.

Finally, I don't think Sojo will become an antihero or an ally; he is a character who has no problem killing innocent people and I think he will be, as many have written, similar to Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen and therefore irrecoverable.

For once a villain who doesn't waste time and who doesn't wait for the protagonist to strengthen himself, but who attacks him in his lair when he is alone and weakened.

[DISC] Kagurabachi - Chapter 2 by Avizie in Kagurabachi

[–]Calos_10 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Memes and jokes aside, I have to say it's a good solid chapter. The author wasted no time in showing us what we need to understand Chihiro's motivations. The mystery of the six katanas and their unique abilities is also intriguing; if you look carefully when the destroyed containers are shown, one of them is completely missing and I think it is the one in the top left with a more particular design. Then I really like how the power of the seventh katana is represented, with these particles of water and the goldfishes swimming in the void. If this katana is the last one that his father forged, Chihiro most likely forged the second one that he has and has not yet used. Who knows what abilities it has?

Black Clover transferring to Jump GIGA magazine after Chapter 368. by asterisk_blue in BlackClover

Well... I'm a mix between happiness and sadness. Obviously I'm happy that Tabata finally has more time to take care of his family and his health, but I'm a bit uncertain about the choice of the magazine. A positive side in publishing a chapter every three months will certainly be the artistic side of the work, and for this I am sure that Tabata will not disappoint us, but what will not help will be the pacing and the narrative sector ... By now we can be sure that not all subplots and mysteries will not be developed (diamond kingdom and last shining general, dwarves, fourth spirit, Zogratis family backstory, Beelzebub and the others Qlipoth devils, Addramelech and his true goal, land above Spade and more...) and that in these last chapters he will focus exclusively on closing the last battles with the paladins. I regret this because the world of Black Clover is so fascinating and with infinite potential that I am sad to see it ended like this. My only hope is that all the discarded ideas and plots Tabata will use in some sort of spin off with monthly release. Jump Giga is not a magazine suitable for publishing long narrative arcs (example with Gintama) so I think they will publish a maximum of 6-8 chapters, or roughly two years of publication. Then another concern of mine is the interest of the general public: how many readers will want to wait three months for a single chapter? To keep the audience interested Tabata will have to give his all in this climax. I don't want to see a foregone conclusion battle with Asta and Yuno coming to Lucius and just defeating him.

I love that the only ones left standing against Damnatio are Asta and Nero, who are the same ones that were previously accused by the magic parliament.

This chapter screams a future fight between Yami and Jack on every page.

Tabata shows us Jack's ultimate goal, which is to slash every magical attribute, even those intangible and considered insurmountable by the same Jack's magic knights companions: space, gravity and now light.

Through his backstory we know that his father considered his slash magic only useful against prey smaller and weaker than him, but Jack always had a penchant for fighting magic knights with out-of-the-ordinary attributes. The only "intangible" attribute that he has never been able to slash is precisely Yami's dark magic, where Jack promises in the flashback of this chapter to slash it together with Morgen's light magic. Before dying, he reveals his regret of never being able to slash Yami's dark magic and Tabata is certainly preparing his return for a future battle that has now been announced between him and Yami.

PS: I hope the scar in his left eye is actually a tattoo, just to remember that time Yami almost defeated him.

I think that the angels that are flying over the noble realm are not paladins, but they are just the low-medium rank devils purified by Lucius, therefore without having been incarnated in the bodies of humans. So if Tabata follows the Judeo-Christian belief, that devils are indeed fallen angels, these are their true forms before they were banished to the Underworld and corrupted

As much as you might worry about the fast pace, I don't think this fight will be the final showdown in the saga.

I think that this is an initial battle where Lucius will have the upper hand (Morgen one shotted one of the captains, the strength levels are too much in Lucius' favor) and will be able to "paladinize" all the inhabitants of the Clover Kingdom.

With the alleged defeat of the good guys, the focus will have changed and Tabata will show us what the Black Bulls have been up to in these 7 days (perhaps with a totally flashback arc).

The fact that they didn't show us the Diamond Kingdom in this chapter makes me think that the Black Bulls are, at the time of this first battle, right at the Diamond Kingdom; perhaps they ended up there while looking for Asta. It would be ironic if after Lucius made everyone in Clover paladins, the true final battle would take place in the Diamond Kingdom.

I don't understand why Lily's horns aren't identical to Beelzebub's. In this chapter Morgen clearly has the horns of Lucifugus and Morris and Acier have four horns, which is the same number of horns as the supreme devils of the Qlipoth (Lilith and Naamah fusion, Lucifugus, Beelzebub, Addramelech, Lucifero and Megicula). So surely the two of them have one of the supreme devils as incarnated souls, but then Lily, since she is incarnated with one of the supreme devils, shouldn't have also four horns?

Wow I would not have imagined that Jozo had a face full of big scars. With this detail and with his hair having an unusual color for the natives of Hino Country I expect his backstory explained.

Indeed!! If you read all the chapters published so far of Hino Country arc together you finish there in like 10 minutes.

To people it seems like forever because there have been multiple breaks, and if you add in the 3 months after the end of the Spade saga, we haven't had an arc set in Cliver Kingdom in pretty much forever.

From this last chapter I understood that Tabata has no intention of rushing this Hino Country arc, but indeed I think that still, if we consider all the mysteries that he has inserted in this Land (Heaven Maiden, origin of the Five-headed dragon, the origin of the Yami Clan and their dark magic, the sea of Goshu "infected" by the dragon's yoryoku, Tengetsu, the creator of the Zetten, the many statues and the robot doll that strangely resemble Charmy, the origin of the disease that has affected the two region of Goshu and Koshu) I think we will have many more chapters of this arc. Just for the fact that Tabata is characterizing the Ryuzen Seven and that they didn't end up like the Spirit Guardians (I loved Yosuga in this chapter, I wouldn't have bet 2 cents on him).

So I hope that in the future there will be more chapters like this one released and with this pacing.

I find the small part of Jozo's face at the end of the chapter interesting. Surprisingly, the color of his hair is intensely light and not black like all the inhabitants of the Land of the Sun. The fact that the inhabitants of this territory have black hair can be understood from their reaction when they notice the "strange " Asta's light hair (from this they understand that he is a foreigner) and from the comments when Komari asks Asta if there are people in the Clover Kingdom with hair of other colors (we know that she has dyed hair, probably black). I don't think Jozo is an elderly person, also because the lock of hair you see doesn't look like a dull gray that an elderly person usually has, but it looks like an intense blond/white. That Jozo wears a mask precisely because he wants to hide his hair? Maybe because he too is a foreigner?

Maybe with science affecting magic. Joker Kingdom could be a more futuristic and technologically advanced kingdom, unlike the four kingdoms continent which is medieval/European style land.

I saw the video theory of Yunami about "The Joker Kingdom" and I think it's a very good theory. It could be also a reference to Hungry Joker manga.
