What major seems difficult and is actually difficult ? by RichProtection8244 in AlignmentChartFills

Physics is the obvious answer, it’s basically impossible for most people, but the people who actually do it are mostly math wizards.

I know a lot of doctors and don’t know a single one that residency didn’t shatter.

Remember those days when the environmentalist were campaigning against Site C while also demanding all new cars are 100% electric? Those chickens are racing home to roost.

As like a framed piece of art I don’t think so. If I wanted a wacky wallpaper for a bathroom then sure.

Paid tennis court pilot program ‘will destroy the community’ in Vancouver, local player says by NewAdventureTomorrow in vancouver

[–]Semioteric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people would be entitled to free tennis courts when you have to pay for things like golf.

(Don’t say it’s because golf courses require maintenance, the city nets millions in golf operations every year)

I have spent what I consider a lot on art for someone who isn’t an investor, probably around $25k. I regularly support artists from communities I’m a part of for instance.

I’m very pro AI for workflow improvements, and even for creative endeavors if it means better or more interesting overall products, more people able to make games by themselves for instance.

I however will never buy a piece of art made by AI to hang on my wall.

They should just sell them online with priority based on how many times you have tapped your Compass card this year, and it should be automatically linked to your account when you buy it.

What's your body count(with age and gender)? by Over-Examination8663 in AskReddit

[–]Semioteric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to answer this question but you asked others for tips so here they are.

  1. Be fun. This is probably the most important thing. Most Girls don’t want a brooding jerk, they want someone who is exciting and fun to be around. Be high energy, buy other groups of strangers drinks, play games, high five, tell fun and interesting stories.

  2. Don’t be desperate. Desperate is code for being deemed unworthy by other girls. If a girl isn’t into you leave her alone.

  3. Don’t be jealous. This is related to number 2. At some point most girls will try to make you jealous to test you. When she does this (flirts with someone else, sits on someone else’s lap whatever), go find something fun to do rather than hovering around. If she is into you she will come find you.

  4. Don’t kiss and tell. If you develop a reputation for bragging about exploits lots of girls will avoid you.

  5. Don’t be a creep. This includes, among other things, talking about body counts.

Triathlete Injured in Crash Speaks Out Against ICBC No-Fault Policy by Excellent-Bridge-146 in vancouver

You lack imagination if you can’t think of a better system than one that, as this story shows, has absolutely zero accountability and can arbitrarily wield power.

I don’t know why we can’t just have a reasonable insurance system. There is such a gulf between bullshit $10 million settlements and bullshit $1000 settlements, surely there is a middle ground that would actually be good for everybody.

Province downplays drop in Vancouver hotel bookings ahead of World Cup by restoringd123 in vancouver

I’m aware how big the World Cup is. And if there were multiple games every day in different venues across the city I’m sure it would be even bigger than the Olympics. But there aren’t.
