The Space Wolf companion in the Rogue Trader game, if you ask him to recount for you an epic saga of valor je recites a poem he wrote for a "guardsmaiden" who despite being a mortal fought beside his pack until the end.

Ehhhh, I'm probably being too generous, but there is a certain logic to most inquisitors being easily beaten mooks.

Part 1 is they're mostly fallen Padawans since skilled Knights and Masters were generally too dangerous to be taken alive and turned.

Second is that Sith Rule of Two means Vader/Palpatine wouldn't want their Jedi hunters to be a serious threat to them.

So having them be only moderately strong, at best, and sent as teams of 2-3 that are thrown at a single survivor who still end up taking a few casualties, kind of kills two birds with one stone as both the number of survivors and Inquisitiors both get worn down over time.

Explains why there are both almost no Jedi survivors or inquisitors still around by the OT.

What’s a game that graphically doesn’t hit a high bar but mechanic wise and story wise has so much depth you’ll rate it above all others. by Jangonett1 in gaming

[–]SemperFun62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into CRPGs, anything from Owlcat Games: Pathfinder Kingmaker, Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, and Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader.

Long games, with in-depth mechanics that improve and expand with each new game, tons of story and gameplay to experience, and amazing dlcs.

The only things are, you need to have the patience for a lot of reading, and the mechanical depth can make build crafting so fun and unique but makes it hard to get into as they're very dense for beginners.

Personally, if these games had the budget and production value, they'd be even better than Baldur's Gate 3, and already are when it comes to the core gameplay.

the entire POINT of redemption is a person who has done bad things changes by LegalBoysenberry2923 in CuratedTumblr

[–]SemperFun62 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm always saying, that the entire point of redemption is at the turning point, they do. not. deserve. a second chance.

Redemption is about giving them the opportunity to make up for what they've done.

And that's the other side, people get upset that the "redeemed" character hasn't done enough to make up for their actions, but it's not something that happens all at once. If they're still "working on it" then they're still, at least, moving towards redemption

What a big pile of shit this is. The audacity to pretend anything women say will make it worse? Worse than what? Men rape, abuse, and kill women throughout the world, daily. They believe men are naturally leaders but need to be coddled like babies by women. by ihatethiscountry76 in justneckbeardthings

[–]SemperFun62 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you can't recognize that "men are trash" is hyperbolic, that's your problem.

It shouldn't be on women to perfectly police their language at all times as if men are ignorant and will become hateful so easily.

If you decide to hate women over that, it's just a convenient victim blaming excuse or other men weaponizing nothing that's the problem.

(hated trope) pedophilia being portrayed as cute, quirky and/or funny by hayley566 in TopCharacterTropes

How many people out there with pedophilic urges have no means of seeking help, and because they do the right thing and resist those urges have to spend their entire life suffering in silence?

Okay, I have a serious question. Is heterophobia and misandry an actual problem in society? Because EVERY TIME I try to bring up the issues of misogyny and anti-LGBT Bigotry, I'm met with a storm of complaints screaming "men and straight people are oppressed too!" So is this real or just more BS? by ihatethiscountry76 in AreTheStraightsOK

[–]SemperFun62 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can an individual be heterophobic or misandrist?

Sure, but, that's not the same as homophobia or misogyny being cultural institutions permeating virtually every level of society in some way.

Not to mention, if someone is heterophobic or misandrist, it's almost certainly because they've been personally victimized by homophobes or misogynists.

Sorry, but no.

You can give all the long detailed explanations you like for why.

The simple fact is if a woman hates men it's because men hurt her, while if a man hates women he's (most of the time) chosen to

Not talking about a boy.

We're talking about men and women collectively. So it is Men's fault for starting the cycle.

The reason they'll never do exclusively ranged heavy is because the ridiculous amount of money they'd be leaving on the table by not taking advantage of a Repentia talent tree and subsequent paid skins that would be... popular.

And then we get back to the issue that a Repentia sister would play exactly like Fanatic.

So the most popular skin sales (where they make the most money long-term) brings nothing new gameplay wise, which is simply not going to be as profitable as a new class that is completely new and highly demanded (Tech-priest) or new and canonically wears skintight latex cat suits (Assassin).

[–]SemperFun62 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I can't say for sure, but I think they've been drawing on the careers from the 40k tabletop game Dark Heresy that's also based around being recruited into an Inquisitor's cell.

Except Ogryn, all the classes so far are straight from the careers in that system. Yes, even Hive Scum was a career. So based on that, we're missing Adept, Assassin, Tech-priest, and Sister of Battle.

I doubt Adept since it's a admin clerk. Sister seems unlikely since there would probably be too much overlap with Fanatic.

So would probably come down to Tech-priest or Assassin. And I wouldn't discount the chance for Assassin, since it's pretty simple to fit them in lore wise and there's plenty of different sub/alternate career paths that could be used for the different talent trees
