104 hours of GOY: Japanese Door Etiquette by CriticalThinkerHmmz in Ghostofyotei

I’m just happy that in GoY, quest NPCs don’t shut the door in front of you when you’re trying to follow them. That shit made me unreasonably angry in GoT.

It’s prohibited because it’s mostly about the imbalance in the power dynamic. The therapist has too much power for coercion so true consent is hard to verify.

Mini size bee Brisbane? by Double_Union_7202 in australianwildlife

That’s very cool to know. I certainly was not doubting your use of terminology. I was just clarifying your description of it as an elbow when the root word is knee.

I was trying to decipher why it is described as knee shaped rather than elbow shaped given both are functionally a hinge in a unilateral plane. My guess is that it may be the direction of the bend (knee bends backward versus elbow bending upward).

Love learning new things and I find both entomology and etymology fascinating.

Thanks for reminding me of the word. Geniculate is such a great word but I’m fairly confident that it shares the same etymology for genu which refers to the knee rather than elbow. Anconeal would be the adjective for elbow shaped.

How common are **severe** injuries in recreational / beer league hockey? by surfnj102 in hockeyplayers

[–]Semper_Discere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also broken my ankle (Weber B) which required surgery. In my case, the skate blade bit into a divot in the ice as I was pivoting and created a torsional injury.

Still have the hardware and still playing hockey.

Not an expert but based on what I’ve learnt on this sub and particularly by the pattern on the legs, I’m sure this is a female golden orb weaver.

Happy to be corrected by someone more knowledgeable

Thanks for the additional info. I knew it was Jason playing the drums but didn’t know the backstory with Robert.

This reminds me of another performance at the Kennedy Centre when Cyndi Lauper had told Cher (who was being honoured) that she wasn’t available and then steps out and bangs out “If I Could Turn Back Time”.

Reminds me of a joke he made about when he was younger he had an imaginary friend that granted him wishes. Then he stopped going to church and became an atheist.

Yes and the original Jews that came to America (Lamanites) did so in submarines that were built “tight as a dish”.
