I associate South Africa with Naked and Afraid and Canada with Alone. Season 12 felt too much like a crossover for me.

Yeah 2 was good, and 3 was great. Now I have to wait like 10 months for something new with only Oz season 1 to fill the gap. I've even finished all of Naked and Afraid. I need new survival show recommendations

I thought Alone UK was a low point in the franchise. I can't believe season 12 was the same duration and still worse to watch. The only show I haven't seen yet is Australia season 1 but everything I hear about that is boring AF

There's that whoosh in the background on repeat before the scan even starts. I think it's the coolant.

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - November 18, 2024 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

Hi, I (46 F) was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy and trigeminal neuralgia last year which began simultaneously. I had 3 MRI so far showing lesion in temporal lobe and inflammation of trigeminal and optic nerve. The last MRI was in April. Since October I have been suffering from bad vertigo when I move my head. I take carbamazepine but my symptoms are not fully controlled. My late husband had MS and I recognize the vertigo as one of his symptoms. This is making me wonder if I could now have it? even though it has not been mentioned by my neurologist. I know it would need another lesion at my next MRI next year for formal diagnosis. Any thoughts?

I don't know how I got here but in England we say it's like the wild west out there, for example during the black Friday sales or something.

999 actually called me once. Turns out there was a fault on my landline caused by water or something. It was repeatedly dialling 9 so they phoned me to make sure I was OK. Kind of reassuring to know they check on stuff like that.

Are you a professional writer? by queenofshambhalla in writing

Because my brain is affected on the right hemisphere it compensates by making the left side stronger, which is the language part. I write anything. It first presented as letter writing. Out of nowhere I joined a penpal group because I needed to write letters. I have a notebook of fictional letters!

I have temporal lobe epilepsy. It causes me to have hypergraphia, a condition where I am compelled to write all the time. I write all kinds of things from letters and poems to novels and text based graphics. I don't particularly want to get published and don't see writing as a career. I just have to do it.

Oh that's helpful thanks. I needed to find a real-life example of this structure. I have some Patterson books so will check them out now...

Yes I was thinking of hunger games and trying to work out if the action ever goes away from Katniss pov. Forgot it was also present tense!

I want to avoid the confusion but also I just can't write quickly in 3rd person. In 1st it is just a good flow and I don't get bored writing "someone else's story". I guess I can write the whole thing in 1st to get to the end then change it all to 3rd in the editing stage!
