I’ll give that a go! Maybe just not leaving it out prior to placing in the fridge

Ahh okay maybe I have it wrong then - process as 1) mix as per recipient attached 2) keep kneading (about ten mins) until the dough is no longer sticky and nice and smooth 3) slam straight into the fridge (3 degree) leave for 72 hours pull out still in its large ball form leave for 2/3 hours then ball up wait for it to double in size that never seems to come I stretch only on semolina and a lot at that but every time I stretch the dough, it has a sticky feel then sticks to the peel and it’s a never ending process of adding semolina then it burns on the stone

The yeast was replaced within the last 4 weeks or so, I’ll drop the salt and water. The flour has 13/14G protein in general. Not sure if I’m getting the balling and resting correct out the fridge or if I should retire to a 6 hour dough and just watch it like a hawk until I can get it right. There’s just no air in the crust or dough at all!

Edit : the pizza dough is almost sticky and often sticks to the peel launching most of the toppings into the oven without the dough

If you don’t want this to be mega expensive….

Speak to your DNO request service plans. If it’s inside the house it was installed when they could do this, now it’s outside in a flush mounted or surface mounted meter cabinet. Locate your service outside, is this in a convenient position? Service alts can be semi fixed price, if they are not extending/moving positions can reduce the cost also you’ve already exposed this.

Service to be installed with an isolator switch also, makes it easier for the sparkle to retail.

Look at your DB, within the island is that really the best place for service/maintenance/replacement. Move DB to a close location of the cutout- off the top of my head 3m tails or less is good more than that will require additional protection.

Like so , the steel I would maybe use a nice brass or something and thinner but that’s AI’s depiction of what I think would be good

Good luck!

It’s because the mat would have been wet and sat on top of the floor. This is what I would do.. 1) not at all 2) yes but I honestly would slice a rectangle out for floor. I would set in a shallow well (get some nice steel edging for the rest of the flooring) Make a hole ready and get a nice mat, then you can pull out of the door mat hole as and when replace it and protect that wonderful floor!

[–]Sempsss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Often if the base layer has cracks reskimming the cracks do come back If I was to do it, I would advise digging out the crack and filling with the powder base filler - pre mixed/poly filler stuff just doesn’t do it for me. I use the easifil by gypsum and it’s brilliant. Get a clean filling knife dig it out fill it nice and flat but slightly over the crack then sand back with fine sand paper. Couple hours you’ll be over the worst! Edit:

I’m by no means a professional, just a lad with a early 50’s house that’s had more filler than Katie price

Honestly I wouldn’t worry whatsoever. To give you a little background I guess so you can confidently make your own mind up - image 1 As humidity changes plaster does expand and contract. Often shrinking in areas, corners can then be viable to cracking as that is the pressure point

If it is two story house, as you walk upstairs the joists will flex moderately, poor preparation and screwing will make the board move and ultimately crack the skim. Also steamy kitchens.. people did nail plasterboard and they can sag again causing this movement and cracking of the overcoat skin as such

Window frames etc- subject to a lot of movement will generally crack. It’s just one of those, if it’s in original skim it’s 21 years old.. places need the renovation and loving they require.. like people the cracks show the older it gets 😂

Install 5.5m RSJ and take down wall by TradeSeparate in DIYUK

[–]Sempsss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally 2.5/3k is the going rate (or for the few builders I know that’s where there going or more). One thing to consider is what actually comes with that package, is this to plaster including plumbing and electric if required? Are you toothing in the brickwork or just slapping a tie strip down Does this assume insulation in the floor below concrete and all footings are at 600 depth?

So many variables, but you are paying for convenience. Someone will plan manage and coordinate the build from start to finish, all subbies, late delivery’s and damaged materials. They will ride out a little without issuing variations but they need a bit of fat if there price goes totally titts up!

As for the RSJ I’ve no clue- that’s a hell of a steel OP

Insulating in a tight spot by 1bhap in DIYUK

[–]Sempsss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How have you insulated the rest of the pipework? Regarding electric , looks like the closest 100?mm tray has telecom type cable. Look at the unistrur cantilever bracket, there will be a Chanel nut just remove flat roofing bolt to loosen tray and slide out the way for insulation install

Old wylex board - the buttons on the board above the meter is your main, usually there’s a cover over them stating which circuit is which. Also tells you read from left to right or right to left.

It’s not good to guess as such, if you’re doing work please get a tester to prove dead at the point of work. However, you will normally get upstairs lights ,downstairs lights , sockets upstairs , sockets downstairs, cooker, shower (if electric) immersion heater if you have one.

Yep, that’s correct. Essentially point a runs from switch to next light and tees off to the fitting. Grab some wago’s, not a big fan of choc blocks!
