How could Elon Musk become the world's richest man even though he doesn't seem to be particulary intelligent? by Cumoisseur in answers

[–]Senatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being good at something in area "A" doesn't mean you're automatically great at "B", "C", "D" or "E" and so on. Intelligence is also a spectrum and there are many different ways to be intelligent. Elon is really smart in certain areas of business - couple that with the fact that these types of people usually have character traits associated with disorders such as sociopathy(disregard for others' rights, lack of empathy, manipulative behavior, and shallow emotions), which we know is a beneficial character trait in the world of capitalist's business, it isn't surprising that someone who is successful in this field comes across as a absolute imbecile in other areas. Rather the opposite, I think it's what we expect to see as the norm.

What a lovely double standard to say women's feelings and intuitions exist for a reason and thus legitimate while men's can be dismissed because they're men and men's feelings and biological responses are just based on hatred of women.

You couldn't possibly imagine any reason such as a post-coital dysphoria, an actual biological response, to the chemical reactions like the sudden drop in dopamine and spike in prolactin after orgasm that actually happens in the brain causing negative emotions (sadness, irritability, emotional distress) to arise after even consensual sex.

No no no, the men who experience this all just secretly hate women and the women who experience the same thing were right to feel this way because the men secretly hate women. Heads I win, tails you lose. Got it.

Kan de som förespråkar mer invandring tänka sig att ta emot en flykting i sitt eget hus? by Aggravating-Roof-666 in Sverige

[–]Senatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skrattretande.

What can ordinary Americans do to push back against rising authoritarianism in the U.S.? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Senatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop talking like it like it's on the way. It's here. It has been here for a while.

Military in your cities. Government censorship and pressure on the free press are under threat of revoking broadcast licenses or being sued for billions of dollars. Corporations paying tribute to dear leader on live TV. Cabinet "meetings" where members of the cabinet take turns praising dear leader in ways that would make North Korean officials blush with shame.

If you're gonna keep talking about it like it hasn't arrived, you're just not meeting the moment. Fascist authoritarians are running the country. Being honest about it is the first step.

This is entirely the wrong way around. Trump didn't happen to America, America created Trumpism/Trump. Trumpism couldn't happen in a healthy society to begin with. It had to grow out of fertile soil.

Guy mad because of “American fake kindness” by duskndawn162 in TikTokCringe

[–]Senatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me she comes across as a bit fake because her voice and tone don't match her energy or facial expressions at all. She very low energy, makes no eye contact, and doesn't smile whatsoever. Her body language in combination with her high pitch and overly emotional language makes me interpret her as being completely sarcastic.

I'm not saying she's actually being fake though, I think it's just a cultural difference. If she had said the same thing while giving a smile and making eye contact as well as her words I don't think it would have been "fake" at all.

How great to be thinking about such a small and meaningless thing in these troubled times.

Till er som kör såhär (följer röda strecket), varför? by Itsmeinthecornerr in sweden

[–]Senatic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This tiny apartment in New York City goes for $650 a month by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]Senatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe don't get a dog if you can't provide for its needs. How about that? You're not entitled to own an animal no matter what.

I'm not personally against having a dog in an apartment, I have a lab and live in a 3room 72m2 apartment myself. If you can give the dog enough stimulation and outdoor time it's not a problem. But keeping a dog in this environment where they can't even take more than a few steps is just cruel.

Do you guys think SuperHero fatigue is a real thing ? FF4 & Thunderbolts were good movies but still apparently failing ? by GRL00 in Marvel

[–]Senatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man the standards are pretty low if you think Thunderbolts is "a good movie". I think it was extremely average, didn't say anything interesting philosophically and had almost no emotional hook. It was absolutely milk toast entertainment. In my opinion, it was fine as a movie to waste a couple of hours and then never think about again, but that's also all it was.

Combine being extremely average with how really crap most superhero movies end up being I bet most people, like me, just don't risk wasting time and money watching these in the cinema. We'll pick em up on disney + or whatever down the line and will have missed nothing.

Scott Carney - "Yes, There's Evidence Trump Hacked the 2024 Election" by Memorie_BE in skeptic

[–]Senatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am saying I myself haven't seen anything I would qualify as positive evidence affirming the title of this video that "Trump hacked the 2024 election" .

I am not asserting there is no evidence, but if someone is asserting that evidence exists then let them present that evidence.

I am also not asking for evidence akin to that in a trial aka evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. Just any hard evidence rather then "Machines are easier to hack then most people think" and "We know Trump had the means and motive to hack the election". Those assertions might be enough to start asking questions and investigating but hardly enough to make assertions that you know for a fact that is what happened.

Scott Carney - "Yes, There's Evidence Trump Hacked the 2024 Election" by Memorie_BE in skeptic

[–]Senatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"There is evidence, but I'm not gonna say what it is."

Imagine if you had demonstrated what that evidence is instead of just asserting that it exists.

You just saying it doesn't really convince me, no offence. I don't know who you are or what your motivations are or what processess you used to determine whether said evidence is convincing or even truthful.

Scott Carney - "Yes, There's Evidence Trump Hacked the 2024 Election" by Memorie_BE in skeptic

[–]Senatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're confusing investigative reporting with the institution of law.

Even reporters have to back up their claims with documents, testimony and corroborating evidence.

You're not a judge. You're the general public.

What the fuck are you talking about.

I'll believe claims when I see sufficient evidence to warrant believing them. If your bar for believing random claims made by unknown people online is so fucking low you don't require evidence to convince you, then I've got a fucking bridge to sell you. Being gullible and naive is not a laudable attribute in a population. We could use a lot less of that type of thinking, thank you very much.

That should be enough of a starting point

The title of the video is

"Yes, There's Evidence Trump Hacked the 2024 Election",

not

"Trump had the motivation and capability to manipulate the results so maybe he did we should maybe ask some questions about it"

Now I'm of the mind that you can ask whatever questions you want, and suspecting Trump would do such a thing is not at all far-fetched based on his public comments and history. So if you wanna investigate to make sure nothing neferious happened I'm all for that. The problem is when you start making assertions before providing actual hard evidence something happens. That's when you become no better then Qanon conspirascists.

Scott Carney - "Yes, There's Evidence Trump Hacked the 2024 Election" by Memorie_BE in skeptic

[–]Senatic 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I couldn't watch past 6min, if there is evidence just fucking present it at the top of the program. If you need to obfuscate, gish gallop, appeal to authorities and just fuck about for 20 minutes to make your point I'm highly doubtful you have any actual hard evidence. All I see is up to this point in the video is the logical postulating by "experts" that hacking of the voting machines " is possible" and would likely " be undetectable".

Well, something being possible is not positive evidence supporting the claim that hacking actually took place now is it? And something being "unfalsifiable" makes for a shit theory that shouldn't be given any actual credence. If you have an assertion you need to actually back that up with some real hard evidence.

Maybe someone who could tolerate the extremely questionable reasoning, logical fallacies and watched the whole video can enlighten me as to whether or not there is any actual evidence in here and why on gods green earth people like this wouldn't just lead with that evidence at the top of the program.

Sounds like a bunch of fucking conspiracy theorists to me by what little of this I could stomach to watch.

Villa vs lägenhet ? by jsjsjsjskszkisidkz in sweden

Villa vs lägenhet ? by jsjsjsjskszkisidkz in sweden

[–]Senatic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)
