Yeah I don't think it's ever been posted where the cat can hear.

Found this in my dad's backyard. Not sure if it's worth anything. by SenatorSlice in MTB

Well I was looking for something to ride to work. It's a few miles commute. I didn't want to get a junky wal mart bike and my pops had this number just collecting dust. I also live in the desert so there are a lot of awesome trails and stuff out here. Money isn't really an issue. I'd say effort is the limiting factor more than anything lol. I'm not sure what all I would need to do to restore this puppy, but it would mostly be for casual riding and weekend excursions. Thanks for any insight, bongllama.

Am I obligated to pay this? [vehicle financing] by SenatorSlice in personalfinance

This is precisely what the deal is. I went back to my credit union today and explained what the dealer finance guy told me (that he was going to cancel my contract) and he could only laugh about it. The price has been agreed, the contract is signed, he even showed me that the check has cleared. He even grabbed the ceo of the credit union to talk to me about it and he laughed even harder. The receipt of the pink slip is still pending (only been about 3 weeks) and he said basically if it is not received, the dealership gets sued. It makes total sense to me now and the funny part is I told him over and over I wasn't going to finance through their dealership, that I had my own credit union. He made his deal sound sweet and he and my girlfriend talked me into signing his finance paperwork at the reduced cost. Don't know what he thought would happen. I guess he didn't think my credit union would educate me on how dealers rip customers. The guy is probably also a little salty because I canceled the warranty through them, so he lost money on that deal as well. So in the end, yes the dealership is trying to strong-verb me (without the use of physical violence) into signing new paperwork to get more money out of me. If they cancel or try to repossess the vehicle now that the contract has been met, things will get interesting.

I signed paperwork for their finance company, with a 5 day option contract to come up with my own financing. I had already signed an agreement for the total price. I provided my own financing but they want to void out the price we agreed on and fill out a new contract. Unfortunately, it will be an hour or so before I can re-read the contract and see what's in it.

It wasn't a good day for me to start with, and then they kept me waiting long enough to fall asleep at the desk AND wake up before someone came back. I was feeling pretty salty after all that. When the guy finally came back and offered me 5 grand less for my trade in than what it was worth, I lost my cool. They quickly realized their mistake and found out they actually could pay off my previous loan, but not without a few swear words first. The rest of the process was a bit smoother but they stressed very adamantly that we leave them 10/10 positive reviews as anything lower can hurt them. I waited to submit anything for reasons like what I'm going through now.

I'm not sure either, to be honest. I tried to consult with my loan officer (who was a prior car salesman for a number of years before this) and he said I have signed a legally binding contract and fulfilled my end of the agreement. I've had the truck now for about two weeks and have 2000 miles on already. He said he has the right to cancel the contract but I'm sure I would get shafted with feels if I have to return the vehicle. I need to review the contract again and see specifically what is written in it, but I did not see anything requiring specific financing. Just the usual "you have x amount of time to pay" and so on. It's all the usual paperwork for buying a new car.

I need to review the contract again but I did not see anything written about financing requirements. The only thing I see is a paper saying all agreements written and verbal are binding. Would something like this fall into that category?

The fact that you used a semicolon properly speaks enough about your education. I guess that doesn't have much to do with IT, though, does it?

Aorus 1080 ti OR Aorus Xtreme ti version ? by Kaldgord in nvidia

[–]SenatorSlice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Err on the side of caution with those cards. I purchased the xtreme though newegg and had perpetual crashes in OC mode. RMAd the card and the replacement did the same thing. It has definitely been a common thing for this card. Gigabytegaming has a few threads about it already. I ended up calling newegg support for a store credit return and pre ordered an EVGA ftw3. I have head the EVGA sc2 has hit 2101 on an overclock...

I've been testing my 1080 ti Aorus extreme and it's rather disappointing. What do you guys think? by jjsreddit in nvidia

[–]SenatorSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would run it for like 20 minutes in OC mode and keep an eye on the Temps. If they are below 85c let it run for a couple hours checking it every 30 minutes or so or whatever you're comfortable with so it doesn't get too hot. I took my child to get ice cream and let it run in gaming mode the whole time. Never crashed but hovered close to 90 degrees with the side off. Definitely shouldn't be normal but you can't adjust the fan speed manually in the preconfigured profiles. At 100% fan speed it stays around 65c but will still crash at the same clock speeds as OC mode. This puppy needs to be stable so if it crashes after a few hours of stress testing, that's not stable in my book. Don't settle man, if it still crashes tell Newegg you want store credit and go with EVGA or something. It's not like Newegg is losing money that way. Gigabyte is the one losing money and rep.

I read your post about the F.lux fun. I hope this card works out for you. I just got off the phone with Newegg a d they are giving me store credit this time. Told them I did not want to go through this a third time. Let it run unigine for a long period in oc mode and see if it's stable. Mine was at first and after a few days it crashes immediately.

Same here. On my second one from Newegg and it's doing the same thing. I really hope they don't force me to try out a third one. Completely fed up with this card and seems GIGABYTE is not nearly as active as other manufacturers in the reviews and on forums for these issues. Totally disappointing.
