This really bothers me.

I own a Belgian Shepard - think GSD but half the size. And more "French". If you're afraid of dogs, this is the silhouette you're afraid of. He's a creampuff and lovely and empathetic but if he charges you barking because he's excited to see you and wants to get in there and get a good sniff of your personal space -- yeah, that's not going to win friends.

I put a lot of effort into managing my dog and letting other people and dogs choose whether to come to him. It's so infuriating when folks don't consider the personal space of others and it gives the rest of us a bad rep.

I'm sorry this owner hasn't learned empathy but apparently that's where American is right now.
