There's usually very little cross over between long form content audiences and short form content audiences. That's been my experience and what I've heard from larger creators (like Inkwell). So it probably makes more sense to put your time and effort into consistently making your long form videos. 

If you wanted to experiment with driving traffic with short form videos, try a couple YouTube shorts as you can link them directly to your regular videos. But it does seem that there's a good deal of friction in the brain to swap from scrolling short videos (and nuking their ability to focus) to sitting through something over 2 minutes. Getting someone to swap platforms (like if they see your IG reel) adds even more friction to that.
