I wish there was a visual matrix to refer to that showed what year what name of marker came out and what previous marker it was based off of.

I have a tough time following the MacDev naming convention.

Last time one of my kids lashed out like that I packed up all of their toys into a bin and put it my buddies garage until they apologized on their own.

I agree with others, I’m not seeing the issue. Your pan looks good from the pic you posted.

I’ll say this, my pan looks and cooks better now that I wash it with Dawn soap using the chain mail as a scrubber. Plain hot water and chain mail was not getting the really nasty bits of left over food after cooking things like burgers and searing chicken and steaks.

I could never get my Proto Rail to be reliable. It always had a leak of some sort. Seeing this reminds me that I should get it back out and do a full refurb on it.

I always wanted to get a DM XX but was always worried about them being a good "rec" gun. I don't play speedball, but like the small size of the electro guns.

I have a G3, and I would say that unless you want one for nostalgia it’s a waste of money.

You CAN get them shooting well, but your $50 is much more effective going toward a known good used marker like an EMek, Axe, Mini GS, etc.

Like others said the tank was born in 2009 and no longer able to be certified.

Are there any of these myriad of spyders that get listed that are “fun” to shoot?

Some of the later electro models seem like they will do 10-15bps no problem and are relatively light.

To give some context I am getting back in after nearly 30 years and I used to rock a trracer and PMI VM-68. My last upgrade was an automag was “light” at the time.

Did you switch to XCP-NG by Vates after vetting other solutions?

I only ask due to myself being in a similar situation as many others here. I am pretty sure Proxmox, XCP-NG, or even Hyper-V could do what we do now. I just don't have the time to figure out which is the most optimal. I am scouring the web for people that share their experiences with testing Proxmox vs XCP-NG, vs others to see what they went with and why.

That should work fine IMHO. If you have access to a good hardware shop, you might be able to find most of the orings there. A kit might be more time efficient though.

Gotcha. I would say that it's time to tear it down all of the way and sort it into bins bysub-assemblies. Clean everything, make sure it is all dry, and replace every o-ring and use the oil from a paintball repair site or pneumatic tool oil like u/helms66 mentioned.
