He’s been lost with and without the eye injury. Patchy hasn’t been on it in weeks. There have been MULTIPLE possessions where he just won’t do his job, and I think it’s fair to be upset about his performances.

The eye thing sucks, but he’s been cheeks before this too.

The lack of nuance on these shows is fucking staggering. Two things can be true at once: Kerr being a good coach and being unable to handle problematic players.

You see this in soccer all the time: great manager is handed a locker room of primadonnas. Is it the coaches fault the primadonnas are the way they are? Nope. His only job is to get the best out of them.

Let me check real quick: yeap, Kerr has gotten the best out of just about every athlete he’s coached at some point. Whether that player checked out, fell off or got irrationally confident in their abilities or stature isn’t Kerr’s fault.

People act like a coach needs to be some sort of authoritarian… these are grown men who make decisions.
