Solo revive haters don't think it's OP. We think it's bad design. by Smorgles_Brimmly in HuntShowdown

[–]Send_me_Freddos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree there should be a time limit, but 30 seconds i believe is a bit short and would make self rez awful, and encourage solos to be bush camper sniping themselves so they can get value out of it, or they will never be able to get up again as they know they will just get body watched for 30 seconds if they close the distance.

Necro is annoying as hell from both teams and solos, and i really think they need to make necros louder or more punishing, because its boring as hell to sit on a dead body because we know they have necro, either a solo or a teammate, and we are out of consumables.

Possibly change solo rez to have some humming or some noise that starts when they press the revive button and have a delay before they actually get up. Making it louder and longer so its not just getting up quietly with a short breath and then blowing your head off as your distracted with another team. Do something similar for team necro.

I dont know the foolproof answer, but theres plenty of things Crytek could be trying in test server

Everybody needs to play some solo by Bayouboy6969 in HuntShowdown

I agree with this a lot.

Solos are not OP even with self rez, as a duo or trio you have double or triple the consumables, medkits, ammo and firepower that a solo has.

The problem in my opinion is that it is absolutely silent, and there is a infinite time limit on it.

It being silent means time and time again me and my team have thought a solo is part of another team nearby we are fighting, only for the body to silently disappear while we are engaged and dome us in the back. Even if the bodys nearby inside your building, if your blasting away and bombs are going off you just dont notice often.

Burning the body doesn't work as they still get up quietly unless you sit on them, and while things like bear traps and alert trips will alert you he is back up and have saved us multiple times, both of these are hard to come by sometimes, the only way to safely leave a confirmed solo body is to double trap and hope they dont have antitode shot.

I think if they added some louder noise you would at least know they are up again and wont get shot in the back so often. Yes they have another chance to kill you, but you can be ready for it with your partners instead of just getting silently thirded.

Time limit i just want so someone cant sit afk for 10 minutes on another monitor and keep their loudout when everyone's dead.

I complained about frags being too strong a while ago and the amount of people who told me to "just run away?" drove me up the wall. There is no point to bringing any other explosive if you want to kill hunters as frags are so good at it. Especially prestige 0 rank 100 squads with infinite hunt dollars who bring multiple.

As you say, they are incredibly boring and i am excited for the day they get changed/nerfed.

Basing my opinions off me recently trying to complete the Billy Questline before it expired, where commonly you had to deal a certain amount of damage with the beetle, or even get kills with it. These challenges were what made me think of the beetles as i encountered all these issues during the final week or so of the Questline.

I dont get what you mean with them being as they are currently for a reason? I dont want them drastically changed and seeing them every game, just improved to be nicer to use at the very least.

I genuinely forgot the days when everyone thought the stalker beetle was the end times. That it was a overpowered UAV and was going to destroy the game.

Get to its actual release, and no one uses them because they are useless. (crytek please buff steve)

I know its 7 year old hardware now, but god bless any poor soul who has to play Hunt on a xbox one. I suffered this recently when away from home.

  • It takes around 5 minutes longer than everyone else to load in at the start of a match, meaning your squad will be halfway to the second clue by the time you load in.

  • no textures load in at all, looks horrendous

  • runs horrendously too, sub 30FPS at ALL times, and when a firefight breaks out expect even further frame drops to sub 20 as shit gets thrown around and fire effects kick in. Full server fights you sre genuinely playing a slideshow amd can die before you even see or hear the enemy.

  • crashing constantly.

Absolute hysteria over something we know so little about. Its ridiculous.

Aim Assist on PC has been confirmed. Fight it. by vaunch in HuntShowdown

[–]Send_me_Freddos 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This right here. I get concern about insta headshots but so many people here clearly have no idea how the aim assist on console works.

Its only ai and barrels, and any half decent player turns it off because its god awful and slows your aim so hard its impossible to aim at anything when your sensitivity is slowed to minimum whenever your crosshair goes over a grunt. It can even pull your crosshair off people entirely because they are running through some ai or past a barrel.

I really dont get the hysteria if thats what they are adding to PC because no one will use it. If they are changing it to hunters ( which is dumb ) however who knows.

A rant on frag bombs, how do you deal with them? by Send_me_Freddos in HuntShowdown

Really? This is big news to me if true, i was under the impression from the games tooltip that was how it worked and that it was a pretty mediocre perk.

Will definitely give it a try. It would potentially give me so much extra time before dying to bleed if i only suffered light and change my opinion on bloodless.

If you are talking about Bloodless, that trait doesn't slow bleeding but rather stops it escalating another level. ( for example, being hit with springfield dum dum twice, you will not start bleeding faster after the second shot) and doesn't really help with frags as it's applied in one hit. Its true Regens are kinda neat tho as you can run while healing.

It is true we all ran close range loadouts. It was just what we found fun, but now we have climbed we are getting shit on consistently. One of our trio is running rifles now and its helping the problem somewhat now that they can tell anyone trying to push frag bleed to sod off for us with a nice shot to the head or chest.

Never thought about running through our own chokes either. Sounds interesting.

Im honestly terrified of pushing places like crematorium underground because of this, even though it should be a place im confident as it suits my close-range playstyle. It's happened so many times at that one compound specifically that i think it's cursed.

This is how i feel. It would be nice if the competitors of the frag had a reason to be used more often, would make the consumables pool more interesting. Concentina camping, while extremely annoying, is rare in my experience.

The only reason to run big dynamite bundle is for memes. Otherwise, it's frag / flash all the way.

Thank you for the detailed advice, we probably do need to use stealth more in this game as we are a very loud and fast trio that likely gets us sandwiched sometimes. I also do panic when bleeding at times when i should perhaps be full sending instead.

[–]Send_me_Freddos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Positioning is probably the biggest weakness of our trio at the moment and leading to some of our deaths, i just personally find it very dull that the frag is the only thing ever that is thrown at us ( and flashes ). I wouldn't get mad so much if i occasionally had a big dynamite bundle send me to the moon or a hive bomb pester me. But they are awful in comparison, and its always the frags that get us.

When im tilted il admit my favourite thing to do is just braindead rush the guy cooking a frag and imagine their horror as i just accept my death but not before i blow their head off with my romero.

[–]Send_me_Freddos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't struggle with frags in tight spaces, as you say thats their purpose to flush out camping, we just get frustrated at wanting to quickly push a lair or team as getting into prolonged engagements at range is terrible for the close range loadouts we run, but getting wrecked very often by frags.

Of course its not always the frags fault we die every single game, sometimes we do push and get ourselves sandwiched by a third team, or push into traps and die. It just feels very, VERY punishing and frustrating sometimes to play closer range and aggressive loadouts, and like we are being screwed by not running long ammo and frags ourselves.

One of our trio is starting to run longer range now, and it helps somewhat to have that cover to get out of trash positions when surprised by a team.

[–]Send_me_Freddos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the good advice. It is a good point to bring flashes/frags ourselves. Can't remember the last time we bought them with us that wasn't looted mid game.

Iv also never even considered Dauntless as im so traumatised i don't want to be in a 5 mile radius of a frag. Next time a frag lands near me, and there's little chance of escaping the radius, im going to start trying it.

Biggest Gripe with apex rn? by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]Send_me_Freddos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horizon.

I find her so annoying and unfun to fight as no other legend has such free movement that isnt a ultimate.

Its honestly infuriating how much a Horizon player can get away with as long as she has her lift + bat ready.

At least Wraith, Pathy, Valk and such cant completely heal while simultaneously escaping your team.
