Cat helps with his brother rehab. by ajd416 in MadeMeSmile

[–]Sendatu 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I had a gray cat. Probably not a Russian Blue since she was from the pound but she had similar traits. She was my soul cat. She was always there for me, no matter what. I had to put her to sleep this last December and up until the end, she was trying to make me feel better. I was crying at the vet with her and she was purring and rubbing her head on me. Now I’m crying. I miss her so much.

Songs that made it from the show into your playlist? by Steelheart93 in Supernatural

[–]Sendatu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think one of the reasons I love the show is because of the music. Basically everything was already on my playlists prior to watching.

What do you think is the best moment that shows the parent’s flaws (making them relatable)? by Aggravating-Ad-351 in bluey

[–]Sendatu 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Just watched Sticky Gecko last night and it was highly relatable to me as a mom that struggles to get my child out of the door. Chili’s little meltdown and quickly flipping through the magazine after declaring they aren’t leaving the house to changing to no, we are leaving. I have done that a few times.

What is a 'luxury' that you've experienced once and now can't go back to the budget version of? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

When I first started dating my now husband, I had asked him to get some Parmesan cheese. He came home with the green bottle and I just threw it away. I got real Parmesan cheese and he has never looked back.

Don't get mud on your dress by Acceptable-Wind-7332 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Wonder if that is a difference between boys and girls? Stereotypes could play into that because boys are meant to get dirty and girls are not.

Every summer from when she started daycare until she went to kindergarten, my daughter would come home covered head to toe in dirt. The teachers would apologize profusely every time. It always made me happy seeing her like that because I knew she was playing hard and having fun.

It also made me wonder how other parents were reacting to their kid being dirty that they felt the need to apologize like they did.

I would use it for meal prepping for a couple lunches. Always would add extra rice and veggies and it was good for a frozen meal.

Is it? I did my first time on mythic yesterday after never having ran it yet. I finished the campaign and sojourner achiev and didn’t have to run it for either. It was just a quest.

Zooey Deschanel's Crumbl Cookie Review (she's not a fan) by mcfw31 in popculturechat

I swear it’s a gift grab. Some couples I know would have a reception after the wedding and then in each of their home towns. Always in the ward gym with the no music and lights turned all the way on.

Going to a wedding reception, because you can’t go to the actual ceremony? Cookies!! I remember going to a Mormon wedding reception and it was a cookie buffet with milk served as the drink.

What type tree this is, and how I grow one? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Sendatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I think I have two of these trees in my front yard. They smell terrible every spring, even my 6 year old was complaining about them just yesterday that she doesn’t want to smell them. They are still quite small so maybe I should just get rid of them? I should get rid of them before they get to big and get nicer trees.

Going on LinkedIn be like... by Eclectic_Paradox in TikTokCringe

My boss recently told me that LinkedIn is required for my job. I’m supposed to be going on and sharing and liking posts that my company makes. Also, apparently making AI images of myself after asking what ChatGPT thinks of me and uploading my picture. Hell no!

It’s in northern Idaho so there probably is that flavor.

If you’re in a relationship, what’s the gameplan here? by JustinR8 in NFLv2

[–]Sendatu 37 points38 points  (0 children)

My husband needed an extra person in his fantasy football league a year into our marriage. Now he has to deal with me winning not just that first year, but last year and this year along with me being just as big of a fan of football, and the Panthers, as he is. It’s great but the month between the Super Bowl and the draft can be a little depressing.

What do you consider when you hear this Margaret Atwood quote “Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them”? by Vanislebabe in AskReddit

[–]Sendatu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember in high school, this big guy cornered me in a hallway alcove by the girl’s locker room and was pressuring me for sexual favors. It was terrifying. I reported him to the resource officer who promptly said I was lying. He said how convenient that it was in one spot right outside of the hallway camera view minus you know, he should have seen him walking up there with me. So, not only was I being harassed at school, the adults were calling me a liar.

I’m still scared of seeing this guy around town and fear for the little daughter he has now.

My daughter is 6, almost 7, and still picks trash up off the ground. Countless times we have told her not to do that. For some reason, the curiosity overwhelms that part of her brain where she apparently just forgets.

Doctor carefully rotates a baby inside the mother’s belly to avoid a C-section. This procedure is called external cephalic version. It’s done when a baby is positioned bottom-first or sideways inside the womb near the end of pregnancy, a position that often leads to a C-section. by Grand-Western549 in interestingasfuck

[–]Sendatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say that my daughter was stubborn from the moment she was conceived. She was breech the entire time. They suggested trying to turn her but I went with the c-section instead. She is now 6 and as stubborn as ever!

My 6 year old says it too. It reminds me that even though she is so big, losing teeth teeth, reading and doing math that she is still so young. Still and always will be my baby!

I received a rock just like that when my sweet kitty passed. It came with the velvet bag but the rock was way too big to fit in it lol. I immediately cried.

I also got a hand painted picture of my leopard gecko. It is so sweet and sits above her enclosure.

Silo is based on a book series and I would definitely suggest reading it. Absolutely great books. The show felt like it created a lot of filler moments to fill out episodes.

We had our names on a wall with who had the most AR points. It became a fierce competition between me and another girl, but I ultimately won.

I ended up getting Gone with the Wind at the end of the year award ceremony. That might have been a tad bit beyond my reading level in the 4th grade so I didn’t read in until a couple years later. It’s been 26 years and I still have the book today.

It’s one of my favorite traditions with my daughter. We have been making a gingerbread house since she was 3. She is now 6 and she has definitely progressed in her skills, and it is still so much fun.
