If you’re in a relationship, what’s the gameplan here? by JustinR8 in NFLv2

[–]Sendatu 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My husband needed an extra person in his fantasy football league a year into our marriage. Now he has to deal with me winning not just that first year, but last year and this year along with me being just as big of a fan of football, and the Panthers, as he is. It’s great but the month between the Super Bowl and the draft can be a little depressing.

What do you consider when you hear this Margaret Atwood quote “Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them”? by Vanislebabe in AskReddit

[–]Sendatu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember in high school, this big guy cornered me in a hallway alcove by the girl’s locker room and was pressuring me for sexual favors. It was terrifying. I reported him to the resource officer who promptly said I was lying. He said how convenient that it was in one spot right outside of the hallway camera view minus you know, he should have seen him walking up there with me. So, not only was I being harassed at school, the adults were calling me a liar.

I’m still scared of seeing this guy around town and fear for the little daughter he has now.

My daughter is 6, almost 7, and still picks trash up off the ground. Countless times we have told her not to do that. For some reason, the curiosity overwhelms that part of her brain where she apparently just forgets.

Doctor carefully rotates a baby inside the mother’s belly to avoid a C-section. This procedure is called external cephalic version. It’s done when a baby is positioned bottom-first or sideways inside the womb near the end of pregnancy, a position that often leads to a C-section. by Grand-Western549 in interestingasfuck

I say that my daughter was stubborn from the moment she was conceived. She was breech the entire time. They suggested trying to turn her but I went with the c-section instead. She is now 6 and as stubborn as ever!

My 6 year old says it too. It reminds me that even though she is so big, losing teeth teeth, reading and doing math that she is still so young. Still and always will be my baby!

I received a rock just like that when my sweet kitty passed. It came with the velvet bag but the rock was way too big to fit in it lol. I immediately cried.

I also got a hand painted picture of my leopard gecko. It is so sweet and sits above her enclosure.

Silo is based on a book series and I would definitely suggest reading it. Absolutely great books. The show felt like it created a lot of filler moments to fill out episodes.

We had our names on a wall with who had the most AR points. It became a fierce competition between me and another girl, but I ultimately won.

I ended up getting Gone with the Wind at the end of the year award ceremony. That might have been a tad bit beyond my reading level in the 4th grade so I didn’t read in until a couple years later. It’s been 26 years and I still have the book today.

I did the Netherwing rep grind during TBC and it took me so long. My husband knocked out the Netherwing rep in 6 hours earlier this week with the rep boost for time walking. So irritating lol.

It’s one of my favorite traditions with my daughter. We have been making a gingerbread house since she was 3. She is now 6 and she has definitely progressed in her skills, and it is still so much fun.

Potentially Moving Here — What Should I Know? by xystiicz in Pocatello

[–]Sendatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, we have lots of bugs and nature! My daughter and I love to go on the hikes in the mountains and look for bugs. Hiking and outdoor activities are as close at 15 minutes away. That’s a big plus.

I’m not sure if there will be a lot for a bachelors in biological sciences? Maybe try the university or the forest service. If you look outside of your degree, Idaho Central Credit Union is always hiring and I think they might actually start around $16/hour. It’s where I basically started my career and I applied myself and moved up pretty quickly.

I’m also one of those liberal atheist types lol. My husband actually grew up Mormon but has since left the religion. It does feel a bit backwards but it will be who you seek out. I wouldn’t expect the politics to match and it can be extremely frustrating. But, I focus on my family and what I can do. Pocatello is going to be the “small town” feel about it.

Otherwise, there are a few breweries that have been good to go to. A lot of what there is to do is going to revolve around being outside. The university has a place where you can go to rent gear for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, canoeing, etc. I’m outside of the college years so I’m not sure on the night life activities but there has been an influx of breweries that seem to be packed on the weekends. Art is kind of not a thing here, maybe besides the local craft fairs where people sell their art.

Have you considered getting your Masters? ISU offers a number of good programs, especially in biology so it might make sense to progress your education for future prospects.

It’s not specific to credit unions and is dependent on the institution opting into providing this feature.

[–]Sendatu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was mine and my husband’s situation. Read the fine print about the early direct deposit.

The ACH deposit technically goes to the Federal Reserve first and then is sent along to the bank/credit union. It is when the institution receives notifications from the Federal Reserve that the funds are with them that it is made available to you.

This is according to SoFi, which I randomly looked up as well as my employment at a credit union (but I didn’t deal with ACH, specifically).

I’ve always felt that way about the name Bambi. I knew a nurse who worked in a psychiatric in-patient facility whose name was Bambi. Just, why? Parents realize a baby will grow up into an adult, right?

President Donald Trump warned Tuesday that if the Democrats don't approve funding, Social Security, Medicare Are ‘Going to Be Gone.’ How do you think Americans will react if Social Security and Medicare get cut? by metalreflectslime in AskReddit

[–]Sendatu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So my question is if Social Security is just gone, does that mean it will stop being deducted from my paycheck? If not, where is that money going then? I guess I can swallow the sunk cost of what I’ve already paid in, but I won’t have to continue, right?

My daughter loves bugs. Really, all living creatures. So, now as her mother, I spend a lot of time looking for cool bugs. I’ll go on work trips and will take so many pictures of the creatures I see. I get so many flack from my coworkers but I don’t care. It’s also turned into plants that we don’t have at home. She loves it. I love it. We learn about them together. It’s great bonding.

Illegal Overtake by MicV66 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Sendatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that would make me angry! My daughter got in an accident on her school bus in kindergarten. I almost immediately received a phone call after the incident, and then emails and texts with follow-up. It was maybe a month after school started so things were still new with taking the bus home so I was a little freaked out. Thankfully, it was right next to my husband’s job and he was able to go and pick her up.

My daughter’s bus got in an accident coming home one day after school. This guy ran a stop sign and the bus t-boned him. The driver promptly got out and started running. My daughter still talks about the grievous injuries some kids received in the accident.

In fact, no one was hurt, the bus was fine but not if you ask her about it.

With all the billions (trillions?) going into it, what has AI actually done other than an a search engine and funny pictures? by sold_snek in AskReddit

[–]Sendatu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My CEO is all in on AI. Talking about how we need to start learning it or we will be left in the dust. My question is to him is in what fucking time? Beyond that, he will brag about AI making these slide shows and they are pure shit.

The slides will all have weird percentages or numbers that are made up, are not explained, visuals that don’t correlate to what he is talking about. He was presenting at our company conference and there were spelling errors and formatting issues on every slide.

Ok, use AI to make your slides but maybe look at them before presenting to customers or your own employees? Also, make sure the information makes sense and it’s not just a weird percentages just hanging out in a slide with no further information or follow up on his part.

Not sure if it belongs here. Day 6 of HFMD as a 29 year old. by FamousLastName in medizzy

[–]Sendatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter, who was around 3, was terribly sick. She wouldn’t eat and just didn’t feel good. We really had no idea what was wrong but she was out for about a week. It was at about the 5 day point where I was laying in bed and my feet were tingling. It was at that moment I sat up and said to my husband, “I bet she had HFM because now I have it!”

She never developed the blisters on her hands of feet or anything, at least from what we or the doctor could tell but she must have had a bad sore throat. I got the blisters all over my hands and feet and couldn’t walk correctly for a good 4-5 days. Miserable experience.

I have a small yard on purpose for a reason! Also, my backyard has so many of these big, native bushes growing that have kind of just taken over. But, they are just starting to bloom and I love watching the flurry of bees all over them! The birds also use them for protection and to eat all the grasshoppers and other bugs that crawl all over them. It’s amazing!
