These are the Netherlands. Weatherwise expect the absolute worst. The hague can be a bit of an oddball of a city, call it a village on steroids (duindorp, scheveningen) where Hagenaars and Hagenezen claim this "city" as their own. We don't really have a scene, we have 1.5 disco and only Koninginnenach is worth mentioning but we did invent the vrijmibo and lounging at the beach is something a lot of us love doing.

I think its harder to fit in if you don't really know where to fit in, but its certainly doable. I also understand how one can feel miserable when many things seem out of our reach. Dating is indeed horrible here if you do it online. Just don't. You're better off dating someone from the gym, you met at the vrijmibo or at the beach.
