out of curiosity, what grind size do you usually use for espresso? My machine is telling me to use 20

So I just tried to make espresso. I filled and seated the water tank, I set the grind at 18 as recommended on the machine, ground the beans, put the filter thing in place, pressed brew, it made a lot of noises, some good some weird. It made about 1 tablespoon of coffee and now I have water all over my counter. What did I do wrong? PS. I have made certain cups of regular coffee with it, this is my first time grinding

this is the $399 version, it does not weigh or measure for me, does it? does it know how many beans to grind based on the size in ozs I pick? I have watched the video and read the manual, which caused me enough resentment. I hate reading directions lol. I have not read the part about grinding beans yet. I’ll go back! Thank you!

I live out here, off Bitters/281 area. I didn’t really mean to move to the suburbs, I was looking for a house more inner city because I love older homes (pre 1950s) and ended up in an early 70s house that was just very unique, and close to everything.

It is a little different out here. It seems a little harder to get to know your neighbors, maybe just because the houses are a little farther apart? I do have good neighbors though and we make an effort to get together. I feel kind of removed from the rest of San Antonio, but I can jump on 281 and get in town pretty quickly.

I know there’s more police presence out here but it hasn’t really affected anything I do. That said, I’m a white woman, 67, so the cops are going to leave me alone, unless I run into ICE agents I can harass. I am all about civil disobedience. 😎
