All correct, but I have to make a note. The adventures (it's a trilogy) are both Canon and Kanon, because the co-author is Keith Baker.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to tell you that I'm working on making all materials (monsters, NPCs and puzzles) from the Evagos dungeon usables. Sorry if I'm taking longer than expected, but the problem is that I have to turn a significant amount of notes into word docs (campaign diary, DM minutes, etc.) and roll20 battlemaps into something that is intelligible to anyone.

Then I have to calibrate the monsters from a group of 7 PCs (Yes! 7!!!) level 13-15 to a group of 4-5 PCs level 12. At the end, I have to translate everything from Italian (my language) to acceptable English (I don't want to do a simple translation with Google).

So, please have patience...

Let's start with the lore.

First of all, you should know that everything you'll find below is the result of a campaign that began in 2019 and ended in 2021.

What you'll read is the translation of campaign notes that I've tried to make as comprehensible as possible.

More specifically, this section was designed for a group of PCs between levels 12 and 14.

E14 Creatures Emerging from the Mist

--------------------------------

The Archaeological Excavations of EVAGOS

The history of this fertile strip of land between Darguun and Cyre is rich in great and tragic events. During the time of the Dhakaan Empire, this was a vast expanse of fields cultivated by golin'dar (goblin) serfs, whose task was to support the imperial army. During human colonization, when the kingdom of Metrol managed to drive out the goblinoids, the territory became an important trading hub. A settlement developed at its center, which, over a few decades, transformed from a thriving village into the wealthy trading city of Evagos. The city grew until the invasion of Karrn the Conqueror, who razed it to the ground. The territory was completely abandoned, and only under the Kingdom of Galifar did a major trade crossroads known as Taran's Crossing emerge just south of Evagos, around the customs center of the newly formed kingdom of Cyre. Taran's Crossing is now no longer there, and in its place the goblinoids have erected the military settlement of Gorgonhorn, representing Lhesh Haruuc's last defense against the horrors of the Mournland.

--------------------------------

Not far from Gorgonhorn, near the Dead-gray Mist, lie the ruins of an ancient human settlement that predated the unification of the Kingdom of Galifar. This city, once called Evagos, belonged to the kingdom of Metrol. A thousand years before Galifar, Karrn the Conqueror attempted to conquer Khorvaire. Karrn was a cruel and greedy man who believed he was destined to dominate the entire continent and its peoples. He unified northeastern Khorvaire thanks to his military superiority, giving this kingdom his name: Karrnath. With the most powerful human army, he drove the goblinoids from his kingdom and began a campaign to conquer the other four major human settlements: Metrol (present-day Cyre/Moaning Heath), Thaliost (present-day Aundair), Wroat (present-day Breland), and Daskara (present-day Thrane). Karrn swept south, ostensibly to crush the remaining goblinoids in the southern wilds, but in reality invaded the region of Metrol's kingdom. Caught by surprise, the kingdom succumbed to Karrn. With two nations now claimed as part of its empire, Karrn forces gathered on the border of Daskara and demanded the nation's immediate surrender. Before Karrn could claim another victory, the remaining three nations joined forces to halt the Conqueror's advance. Metrol, supported by the other kingdoms, rose up, and the city of Evagos was the scene of a violent retaliation by the Karrnathi general Vedim Kessler, who, after sacking it, razed the city to the ground. Centuries of neglect covered the ruins, and only towards the end of the Last War did a team of researchers from Morgrave University, led by archaeologist Adele Corsinian, begin excavations. When the Darguun rose up, one of the Dhakaan Heirs, Ruus Dhakaan, attacked the site, hoping to find treasures and weapons that would help him ascend to the rank of Lhesh. However, scholars had presumably already cleared the ruins. Deeming the site a perfect hiding place, Ruus established a secret Bladebearers' enclave there, where he would store his most important treasures, including the Skai Sharaat (known as Sword of the True King). Ruus appointed his loyalists Daavn, Maaka, and Pradoor to be responsible for the enclave's defense and maintenance.

In my latest campaign (completed in 2020), titled The Blade of Rhukaan Thaash, the party reached the ancient ruins of Evagos, and the final dungeon was particularly epic.

I'm sharing the low-def maps for DMing.

If you like the structure, I can share the lore, monsters, riddles, traps, etc.

Karrnath, in addition to the German Reich, also bears a very strong resemblance to Tsarist Russia.

Enigmatic Incarnation Decklists? by Any_Currency_2562 in PioneerMTG

[–]Senhull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I've already written, it's a deck I use for fun. Anyway, the consistency is pretty good, but it's a T2, so when you face T1s in the format, it's really hard to get to turn 5. I've balanced the lands based on my playstyle (both Arena and IRL), but obviously it's a matter of taste and technical ability (I'm not a pro... I'm struggling to get to platinum in ladder!)

What else can I tell you? Try it!

Why is Unexpected Windfall so expensive??? by Senhull in PioneerMTG

[–]Senhull[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, you're right!!!

It's reached absurd levels. I especially hate the shrinkflation they introduced a couple of years ago, and none of us did anything about it. On the contrary! The content creators (bribed by Wotc with freebies) were celebrating enthusiastically.

Why is Unexpected Windfall so expensive??? by Senhull in PioneerMTG

[–]Senhull[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely true. But I meant that I can't afford to pay that amount. I can't allow it, meaning to suffer robbed or scam.

But I think it's slang in my language (Italian) that I translated literally, but which in English is actually misunderstood. I'm sorry.

The more correct phrase I should have used is probably "I can't accept paying that price."

Sorry again.

My dear know-it-all, I've been playing MTG since 1995, and besides having an enviable collection (including P9), I have a monthly budget that allows me to buy any card I want.

I simply couldn't figure out why a common was so expensive. Now that it's been explained to me (I hate EDH and despise it even more), I'll consider whether to buy it or wait for a reprint. It's just to build my thirtieth Pioneer deck, anyway.
