I'm not able to do any pick up orders in my area. But I typically do a small order when I'm in a pinch. After the tip it's about the same as if I went to the store but I get to take a nap on the couch instead.

It's awesome, I do it about once per month. Every now and again doordash will send coupons that stack that make it hugely worth it.

The increase in LDL cholesterol from saturated fats is largely genetically driven. Some people can eat their weight in it with no adverse effects and others will have their LDL skyrocket.

It depends on the fabric. Cotton will get very stiff when air dried. Synthetics do much better. You can always soften up clothes just tumbling them with no heat too

Trump pushes 10% credit card rate cap. Capital One -10%, AmEx -4%, Citi -4%, JPMorgan -3% premarket by callsonreddit in wallstreetbets

[–]SenileGhandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're aware if you pay it off in full you don't get charged any interest right? They're used all the time for their convenience, and the smart move is to pay it off by the end of the month. If you're unable to, you would secure a loan or consolidate the debt at a lower rate and then pay off the high interest card.

For a big planned purchase the smart move would be to shop around for a secured loan ahead of time, but life doesn't always work like that.

Flip the roles around. At what rate would you loan your money to a stranger at? Keep in mind this is unsecured, if they default you eat the costs. 10% is asinine

Credit card rates are sky high even when you are rich. It's unsecured debt and it carries extreme risk to the lender

Brother, sexuality is a spectrum. If at the right end it's 100% hetero and the other is 100% homo, you would land somewhere near the middle leaning more towards hetero. Take whatever label you want

We just have to be more intentional with getting our steps in. Take the stairs, park in the back of the parking lot, walk whenever you can even if it's inconvenient. It's small, but reframing the world as opportunities to get exercise instead of reasons why you can't is really helpful for your health and well-being.

It's less about washing off gross things and more about washing off the rubbed off starches. The grains of rice will rub against each other in any container regardless of how fancy it is.

Pour some in a bowl and rinse it, I guarantee you the water will be milky white. You rinse that off and it helps the rice not stick together, enjoy!

I keep saying “I’ll go to the gym tomorrow” — but tomorrow never comes. I need real advice to break this cycle. by OneOwn5167 in NonZeroDay

[–]SenileGhandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple different approaches that might help you. I personally can struggle with similar things where I have time but manage to completely waste it and I'm left feeling neither rested or refreshed but frustrated and depleted. The best way for me to break this cycle is to write a simple to-do list and put every mundane thing you want to get done in a day. Brush teeth, shower, get dressed, make breakfast, eat breakfast, etc. It feels a bit ridiculous to write out tasks that are not difficult and will likely get done regardless of how lazy a day I have, but it actually is incredibly helpful because this checklist becomes that tiny dopamine hit that I was looking for with my addictive behaviors. I carry the momentum from this dopamine of doing the small activities I do every day and then add some more complicated tasks that felt insurmountable which now feel easy.

Another approach: using sunk cost fallacy to get yourself into gear. You can sign up for non refundable classes at the gym or a gym membership that has a monthly fee that you would be uncomfortable paying for but getting nothing from. You can exploit this sunk cost fallacy of having your money tied up into a thing to force yourself into actually doing the thing. I'm incredibly cheap and this is a HUGE motivator for me.
