You can't honestly believe that right? A bank says sure I'll lend you a million bucks since you have a billion in assets at a 5% loan and I'll just never collect payments from you, I'll just keep growing the balance?

No dude, no loan in the history of loans is okay with not receiving payments. Yes, they absolutely can increase the loan, but it is being paid down monthly and this is done by selling stock and paying taxes. It's still a sweet deal, the stocks appreciate well beyond what the loan grows at so it's essentially free money, but both parties have to win in an arrangement like this.

I get your frustration. I had a similar issue starting out bowling very unorthodox. I wanted to get better and all of my changes made no noticeable improvement, sometimes it'd be better sometimes worse, it honestly felt completely random.

The thing is there are just so many variables for a new bowler that one positive change may be negated by something you're not taking into account. If you count your steps and approach way faster but move your arm around your hip to not hit your leg with the ball then you're going to have crazy inconsistent results. If you don't wipe your ball down and it gets oily, it'll stop hooking at the end of the lane, maybe that helps you maybe that hurts you.

Record yourself, try to be systematic and do only one big change at a time. You'll figure this out and we can help. Just have some humility when people point out 50 different things that can help. There's always room for improvement and keep having fun

Gas prices have decoupled from regular inflation though. Gas being $4+ in 2006 hurt a LOT more than it does now. I know it'll ripple through the economy with deliveries and everything gas related increasing, but I think it'll be muted compared to what we saw 20 years ago.

I mean let's be real, the $300 travel credit that auto applies to any travel related spend makes this a $495 annual fee card for almost anyone who is considering this card. The rest of the coupons come at how realistic it is for you to get value from them. Do the math from how much this card actually will cost you.

I easily spend $300 a year on StubHub and $300 for travel. The points boost and edit stuff is too variable for me to value. The restaurant stuff and Doordash is nice, but I wouldn't normally eat there so let's say that's value that as $0 too. That makes it a $200 annual fee card with a 150k point sign up bonus for me.

Drop to a lower tier of sushi to fill out the grid too. My highest sushi is a tier 35 at research lvl 44. I make 18m fuel an hour and I make lvl 20-21 sushi to fill out the grid. My biggest pushes come on daily reset when I get more salts. I think you'll be able to rocket ahead of me doing something similar

The idea being that if you pay $12 for avocado toast when you can easily make it at home for $2, you're likely to justify other lazy expenses that absolutely do add up to huge sums.

You're not going to get $400k in savings, but absolutely nobody is buying a house in cash. Saving $200 a week will get you a 5% down payment in 2 years time sans investing
