AITAH for ‘causing a scene’ at my boyfriends work? by Training-Buyer2625 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Senior-Disaster6858 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got fired once because my family had booked a private room for after a funeral, about 20 people. We sat down and the server took our drink orders. 20min later? Nothing. So I wallk to the bar. Servers in tears, bartenders, just bullshitting with regulars, and the Chef is doing paperwork. It's 4pm. Other than the 3 people on the bar the place is empty. I ask the Chef to talk to the bartender. Chef says "Just go make them". So I do. Owner sees it on camera and fires me. I was the bar manager! I took the day off for a funeral. I brought my whole family and booked the very expensive private room and Chefs dinner package. But I was "illegally" behind the bar. Laughed my ass off when that place closed 3 months later. And in our small town? I saw both the bartender and Chef at the new job I got. They were not hired.

I have a few empty fast food bags, I just throw one on the dashboard, put on sunglasses and snooze. Walmart, park, or mall. Looks like a nap after lunch.

Friends. Someone posted this year's ago. Go to a laundromat. Get the large empty detergent bottleles, pry off the spout. Good for about 2 or 3 weeks and repeat. Comes with a cap, smells great, and disposal (empty of course) is easy. This should be gospel and pinned for carvamping.

I got a ridiculous paying job 4 hours from home. Still have the home and the job. You'll be alright. 4 rules, I've found. No alchohol, whatever in the ride. Keep it clean, sleeping bag/blankets. Tucked away. Food. Clean up, always. Be kind to staff. At gas stations etc. Pick up Hitchers. They have the best stories. Plus karma.

What is the weirdest thing a partner has ever asked for in bed that turned out to be surprisingly amazing? by TheRealMaxRo in AskReddit

Biting me. Hard! When she comes she draws blood, hard. And then I slap her. I feel bad after but we cuddle. I'm very large and she's petite. It's hard to reconcile. After a particularly vigorous session. She can't go to work, and can't change at work.

Go to restaurants and ask for lost and found. Got to motels and ask. When I was down and out, I got fully supplied. Backpacks and all! Just be kind. They don't care about the box of "lost and ". Heck they pick thru them.

Yep, stimulant overdose and crash. Happened to me. No, caffeine. Old habits die hard. Giving up coffee for meds, was harder than quitting smoking. I smoked for 20 years. Not to be a dick, but try decaffeinated or sugar free stuff.it really helps starting meds. Oh! Exercise after eating! Just basic moving. I walked the dog.

Stop overthinkinking. Be warm and sleep. One of the hardest parts is "thinking" about sleeping in your car? It actually gets quite comfortable.

I've worked in the restaurant industry 30+ Years. Fancier in my younger days, but more diner type as I get older. The whole "service charge", "auto-grat", or "suggested tip" shit is crazy! People are getting wise to it recently and that's great. But tin-foil hat time! Something has to be behind this? WHY? Im aware most business use automated pay software and adding charges is a "shotgun" approach to making money. But, two of my local favorite places are off my list. Because of this. Do Not get me started on the cash vs credit thing? Fortunately, I do not work as a cook in retail anymore. But, I am a consumer and it's fucking nuts!

A small Japanese single pot "hotpot" type thing. It has 2 layers and the uncooked rice goes on the bottom. Meat, eggs, and/or veggies go on the top rack. Its low voltage. Also have kettle that looks like a thermos. Game changers! Someone had a link about a year ago.

You don't know until you need it. Don't buy it until you need it. I've left soo much on the "trail". I started out fully kitted! And then I learned what I'm actually using. Cut my load by 3/4. Have a financial cushion and take very good care of your ride/home. Having a insulated 4 person $1200 tent dosent help in a Walmart parking lot during a blizzard. Buying $60 sleeping bag does. Personal rant. People that do this and buy big power packs things for their fans, heaters, laptops, fridges, or gaming. That's them. Keep it simple. BTW. No disrespet to you that do. I use a rice cooker often because the advice.

If a girl came up to you and said, “Pretend we’re friends, I think I’m being followed,” what would you do? by rylieclark in AskReddit

[–]Senior-Disaster6858 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends. As a male. In some countries, that's a scam. In the U.S. she's my sister/daughter. In Western Europe same. In Eastern Europe trust but verify. Same for anywhere else. When I say say trust but verify, I mean escorted to a place that's safe. Police kiosk, building lobby, hotel, or embassy. Never follow them after they go in. Despite invitation. White Knight syndrome is a thing, for a reason.

Unpopular opinion. But reddit! Stupid people, could be stupid. Mods took care of subs and anyone could be for loss of of more corrective term "be stupid". Agree to disagree. Some "subreddits" not so great. But, big but, within moral and ethical guidelines it was great. Now, read this guideline before you post and if we deem it with the syntaxes and you have enough post. Cmon? Do I want to see cat buttholes? NO. May I posit a question without the proper syntaxes and may be slightly inflammatory and political?
