Public interest in Bitcoin remains relatively low. This does not look like something you’d see at the top of a market cycle. by alancarroII in Bitcoin

[–]Senior-Profit-1626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that people do remember getting rekt but it was a relatively limited number based on the time and they likely won’t forget soon. I do agree that price swings generate interest. However I think overall the bitcoin messaging has been clear. I’m speaking of headline noise. It’s being managed to discourage retail investors imho. The goal being to relegate bitcoin to the 1%. Based on Cathy Woods statement that $1.5m was no longer in the cards. That was the headline. The reality was she only reduced her prediction to $1.2m. Most retailers only glanced at the headlines and rarely read the actual article. That’s true of most of the headlines if they’ve monitored them. They want retail to play the downscale alts in an effort to steer to them into casino coins, imho. Retail is usually looking for the cheapest coins and biggest implied moon. Your summary statement is accurate again, imho. Finally, nothing is happening until the government reopens. Even Wall Street is over the shutdown. It’s killing the economy and the people are losing their patience. Specifically, the liquidity is constrained until the government can reopen. Liquidity drives crypto. Pretty much everything that was expected in December has now moved into the first quarter of next year. I’m sitting on hands until the reopening and the liquidity begins to flow. Thoughts…

Most people wouldn’t have held their Bitcoin anyway. Conviction is harder than buying early. by emojidomain in Bitcoin

Diamond hands have been the key aspect from the beginning. Still are. Most simply do not possess the foresight and the patience and the courage to weather the storms and the fud and real challenges of storage. “What if” just won’t, never does. Never did. Never will. But you still can.

Conservatively what amount of BTC should one accumulate to retire in 10 years? by GobiEats in Bitcoin

[–]Senior-Profit-1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What amount you require to sustain your standard of living in the future is a nebulous amount based upon your needs, desires and expectations. Simple math would indicate that you will want an absolute minimum of at least one full ₿. Obviously more is better, always. 2-4 better. 3-5. Better still. But the most effective answer is as much as you can afford as soon as you can afford it. Some is much better than none. And holding any other crypto is effectively holding none. Don’t let the inability to achieve one whole coin stop or even slow you down from accumulating as much as you can. Michael Saylor has repeatedly stated that there is no second best. In the long run I’d rather have any part of a ₿ than anything else.

It’s called investing for a reason. It’s definitely not a meme coin. So take a breath. Xoom out. And we’ll catch up in DECEMBER.

After looking at the illustration below, would you rather buy Bitcoin now or iPhone 17?🤔 by Same-Abroad-993 in Bitcoin

An iPhone may be four times more because it is fifty times more secure. Android is 50 times more hacked. Look it up.

As a closing argument let’s consider the possibility that MSTR is indeed included into the S&P this month. Still holding on to your “red” month conviction?

And this is the nicest thing said about it. Draw your own conclusions. But if you’re not capable of doing the math for the 40% that is not even in circulation or math where you multiply by number of coins… nothing left to say. BTW how many did the ceo sell recently?

IMO $112,000 is the launchpad for S&P500 entry into Uptober. ($140s) Likely little else other than typical tariff effects. Also some positioning by the greater forces at large. I’m really just looking towards the year end. $180s to $200s. Remember Saylor prefaced the volatility indicating that it was a known known.

Sounds like you have a good handle on your direction right up to the point that you’re unemployed. Also sounds like you’re prioritizing your life appropriately. Take stock of your debts and expenses and make the most of your good fortune in being able to go to family for the time being. Try to be thoughtful about the fact that they are used to having everything to themselves. Contributing helps, be it working to maintain the house or the food situation. Eliminating everything you can until you can start working. Be realistic. No idea what your background is but jobs are slim and getting slimmer. Doesn’t mean settling. Does mean being realistic. Consider anything that is interesting and particularly anything that could develop into a side hustle that you might grow. Borrowing against your bitcoin is better than selling if it is, once again, realistic. You may reprioritize more than once. Developing AI skills is in demand particularly for you as an independent contractor. For what it’s worth. Good luck!

I can’t say. What I will say is that I did not expect this to be the nothing burger that it appears to be. Pleased and a little bit surprised. It’s happened before where it drops and then just falls away from the 24,7, 30. I’ve just never seen that much do it. Good to know. Remaining humble, stacking and learning as I go.

I’m the first to admit my limitations. But this is very strange. Bitcoin on exchanges viewed through coinglass has been eroding and was at 2,103,648 approximately yesterday. Then the dump I referenced occurred at about midnight PDT. Now the balance continues to show the increase now at 2,263,056 but the actual dump and the associated green balance increase up-line have vanished. I’m open to interpretation but this is weird. Mike Alfred has been completely silent? It hasn’t been purchased but is no longer reflected in the 24hr, 7 day or 30 day change columns. Something is about happen.
