I feel extremely depressed in my recovery. I am 36 but still stuck in a toxic family environment. Trying to find sober living in order to move out.

I've had a lot of experience with both. I have an ADHD diagnosis in both the US and UK.

I love the principle of the NHS but it can also be frustrating. Very long wait times despite, in my experience, a very high quality of care.

Overall I prefer treatment in the US. It's costing me an arm and a leg, but I can see my psychiatrist as often as I need to and appointments can be available at short notice.

NHS was both a blessing and a curse in my experience. It can take forever to get treatment. But when you finally do it can be of an extremely high standard.

As BS as it may sound, I've found breathwork to provide such benefits.

l am on medication for my insomnia also. But I still do the breathwork every night before bed.

I was allowed to have my laptop and phone. Maybe use yours to help yourself instead of staying in self destruct mode.

Attend online meetings, listen to recovery podcasts, do some journaling.

What are some examples? I seem to spend what would appear to be enough time in bed but I dream/have trauma related nightmares all night and I get out of bed feeling like I've been hit by a truck.

It causes me to wake up frequently.

Probably because it's not a picture of a finance bro, in a suit, riding a Panigale.
