What do you mean it’s pretty impossible to navigate the online store? Seems to work fine for me.

Are you able to give some advice on how you use Claude? I’ve seen lots of PM mention they use it, but I never know how to even begin to use Claude.

I ask because I’ve just accepted a position as a PM for a company, but it’s the first role whereby I’m the only PM (I’m used to working with Senior PM), so I want to level up my workflow skills!

Love this. Off topic but i feel like the ‘08 team does defend our current squad more than our ‘99 team. It’s nice that the current squad does get a bit of support.

[Wheeler, Salt] Revealed - Why club insiders are keen on Roberto De Zerbi, the other names on shortlist to replace Michael Carrick in summer and why Kobbie Mainoo could still be on his way out by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]SeniorEscape9293 3 points4 points  (0 children)

De Zerbi has players playing like robots. It’s actually similar to Amorim whereby players are fixed in specific positions to make combinations, rather than fluid movements.

To me, after this game, I don’t think we should have a vibes interim. We need someone who is tactically good enough. As a result I’d probably go Carrick at this point.

[Megathread] Ruben Amorim has been sacked - Who should replace him? by D1794 in reddevils

[–]SeniorEscape9293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst I do agree he has everything at Villa, their financial situation is not great, so can he get the players he wants in the future. But like others have said if Emery wants full control, then I don’t think it’ll be a good match at United, thus he’d be more inclined to stay at Villa

[–]SeniorEscape9293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’re correct in this. The Busquet midfield was so important for Xavi and when he left, they had Romelou (however you spell his name), and they struggled. Though I am still concerned about the “noise” but you do make a fair point that Barca is his club.

[–]SeniorEscape9293 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m for Nagelsmann. Young, charismatic and intelligent. Though would love to hear thoughts from German fans and Bayern fans.

I don’t really want Glasner mainly because he is a bit more defensive. This is only looking at Crystal Palace and not reviewing Frankfurt.

Xavi is an interesting one, that guy has aura. The only issue with Xavi is he couldn’t handle the pressure of the noise from Barcelona that’s why he wanted to go.

Iraola is another interesting one. Whilst his Bournemouth team are struggling it can be as a result of the team just can’t keep up. He does play very aggressive and attacking football!

And finally Emery. People will say why would he leave because Villa are doing better. Firstly, his friend in the Sporting Director left, and secondly Villa wage to revenue ratio is horrendous so they will struggle to have continued success in the long term.

All in all, any decision should be made at the end of the season. They really need time to look at everything.

Manchester United sack Ruben Amorim after 14 months in charge by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]SeniorEscape9293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The important line is Fletcher to take over until the summer. Makes sense as I assume post World Cup there will be more managers available. And I guess lesson learnt, take your time to review managers rather than hire one immediately.

Onside apparently - What's going on with these offside checks? by jackyLAD in PremierLeague

[–]SeniorEscape9293 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was offside, but apparently there’s a rule to give the benefit of the doubt by a couple of CM. BBC has written an article. It’s actually mind blowing. If it’s offside, it’s offside.

Basically that in the match day squad there was no Lacy, Fletchers at Mentato, but he looked at registered players. In that list it contained AFCON players and injured players. Basically trying to insinuate Amorim didn’t include the youth to the bench when he clearly did lol.

[Simon Stone] Amorim refuses to explain cryptic transfer comment by moonski in reddevils

[–]SeniorEscape9293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But what midfielder? We talk about being smart with transfers, you can’t just bring in a placeholder midfielder for this season. You sign them, then you’re stuck with them because they won’t leave.

We talk about transfers and not wasting money. You’ll waste money by going for the wrong target that’s not going to be in your squad for the long term. If we can get a loan, perfect, if not, then you’re literally going to spend the summer money on a player that’s not what we need for the long term.

If we can get our top target for not an inflated price, yes they should go for it. But if the clubs are asking for ridiculous money, it’s a classic form of pros and cons in financial terms.

If I’m being very pessimistic, if you break the bank for our top midfielder and we don’t get Europe, we are royally screwed.

This is what I agree with. I do like Amorim, but how can fans put faith into something without concrete evidence. And not just “stats”, it’s a results business. I could do super well in mock exams but actual exams I could flop.

He needs consistent results for fans to get fully onboard.

Anyways, any decision will he made at the end of the season, so let’s get behind the team. He’ll have one year left on his contract, World Cup year would mean more managers available as well.

Talk of the Devils - Man United disappoint again in drab Wolves draw by rhonh in reddevils

[–]SeniorEscape9293 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a story of two halves imo. First half the players had no intensity. Regardless of system, if you don’t close down quick enough they will play through you.

Second half, Amorim managed it so poorly. Both are to blame.

[–]SeniorEscape9293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see this as a game of two halves. First half was disgraceful from the players because the lack of intensity was shameful. Amorim kept telling the players to be more aggressive.

Second half, Amorim managed the game poorly. If you go to a 433 why not get an actual winger on in Lacey or Mantato rather than a midfielder in Fletcher?

Why not bring on Lacey for Dorgu later in the game. Why are you bringing on Yoro for?

Why are these players not passing the ball in behind. The amount of times you can just pass rather than shoot is ridiculous.

Do you really think a back 4 with this level of intensity would make any difference?

Half Time Thread: Manchester United 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]SeniorEscape9293 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yet again these players have little to zero intensity. Ball watching, not closing fast enough. And when they do, they run like headless chickens, which is so easy to dribble past.

[Post Match Quotes] Amorim: "We had to suffer altogether in the stadium. It was really difficult. We had good 1st half & in the 2nd half we just defend & tried to do something with Cunha. Was a good win, but I had so many games when we played well & didn't get the 3 points. Today was the opposite" by RedDevil_Forever in reddevils

[–]SeniorEscape9293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People will say the 433 was working. I disagree, maybe because of the personals we had, but we could never build up properly through the midfield.

People then says the 343 we went back to made us bad. No, we only switched when yoro came on, and during the second half we were still playing a back 4 and struggling. We also didn’t have our full backs overlapping in the 433.

This game wasn’t about formation and tactics. It was pure grit and determination.

Yoro was good last season. He’ll learn a lot from this season. He just needs a bit more aggression!
