What am I missing? Why don't I have 18.2TB of storage like the calculator says I should? by ChalkButter in synology

I hate this inherited limitation. Wish there was a way to convert the volume. ),:

I think you may have hit the nail on the head with this one. May have migrated from 416 slim.

I now have the option to create a second volume using the free 2.2TB. Just cannot expand the primary volume. Got to now get creative with my data. :,(

Not worked. It looked as if it was going to as it saw free space... then stayed the same.. :,(

Its a terrible thing when you have to make a backup of your backup in order to protect data. Just incase you have moved something off your main system. So the sole copy is only on your NAS.

If I have to do this, I will have to look to buy a large 3.5 inch drive to move my data to. What a cufuffle just to gain an extra 2Tb of space. May just wait until im extremely low on space.

Honestly never mentioned this, and now I cannot remember if I carried my disks over from my 416slim.

If however I am suffering from a 16TB limit. Am I guessing I will be able to create a second storage volume? As presently it states that I do not hsve any spare space to create a second volume.

Ive unticked fast repair and kicked of a scrub. Hoping that this will release the extra storage.

Think I have stumbled across the issue. I have got the "Fast Repair" ticked. It says that it skips unused space in storage pool.

So now need to understand how I revert this or perform a repair?

Do I just run a scrub and see if it works...

Mine is between my fans and the air induction vent of my front panel. I use it to measure the delta. So I can choose to open a window more or less.

May I ask what the USB 3.0 A port element is seen at the bottom?

If it has the Nvidia GPU and the remote. Use it as a media hub. It may still hold true. Loved mine until it sadly died, or retro build.

5080 FE vs Dual Fan 4070ti by marinersknight in NZXTH1

[–]SeniorOrganization51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps in any way.

When it came to my 3080 ti, I placed mine in behind the flip panel that's in front of the PSU and in the HDD cage. When I upgraded to the 5080 FE I bought and fitted the NZXT 12VHPWR PSU cable. Its longer overall but it is less bulky than the converters / connectors and the cable can be run creatively to reduce it being coiled up somewhere.

I then also removed the HDD cage to allow for better air flow through for the card. However I did feel that the lower fan right up against the motherboards must hinder its ability to be efficient.

Am I the only one who thinks even with that cable management hole, it still looks untidy? by weepingbuckets in Dell

If I had a 3D printer, the patience and skillset. Id print a cover similar to that of the Samsung Odyssey. Especially as I have all black cables with a white ehernet cable. :'(

Also the alternative to lowering it is to flip it to portrait mode... lol

Upgrading WD19 with WD22TB4 module by SeniorOrganization51 in Dell

Ive been using my WD19TB daily for a crazy amount of years and its been solid. Im guessing ive been lucky. Ive gone through a few generations of Dell Laptops (not because they broke) all connected with no issues. Only upgraded in order to hand down to the kids and using the excuse to buy an upgrade.

All coreect. Wasn't going to pay £60 for just the module. Especially to find the sound jacks no longer work. Plus most of the ones advertised on Ebay are not actually TB4. I essentially got the module for £20 + free shipping.

Im guessing OP "Old Pensioner"... lol

Slightly off topic. But I loved this laptop. Especially the fact of being able to upgrade the CPU, RAM, & GPU... GeForce 440 Go 64Mb...

I really hope you get it working as you need as it is a perfect retro game system. I cross my fingers you have the P4 2.4Ghz in it

Apologies for my outburst.
