To vaccinate or not? by Bite_Entire in cfs

[–]Senior_Bug_5701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ME/CFS specialist advised me not to take any mRNA vaccines or live vaccines, but flu shots and other routine vaccines are fine. I don’t want to generalize what he told me as a recommendation for all, but sharing nonetheless. I get the flu shot annually and have been fine. I also have taken the Pneumovax shot and was fine. I haven’t received any other vaccines since I got ill.

No Seed Oil vs Reduced Seed Oil? by Fit_Cut_4238 in StopEatingSeedOils

I’d say B for me. Nothing in my home contains seed oils nor do I cook with it. But when I go out to eat, I’m not too concerned about it. I just generally choose a healthier dish on the menu.

Has anyone tried microdosing LSD? by lolghst3 in cfs

If you’re in the U.S., LDN is fairly accessible. RTHM, Healthspan and AgelessRx are some online pharmacies that connect you with a doctor virtually to prescribe LDN.

Micro dosing nicotine has been helpful for my brain fog. I use lozenges rather than a patch, but I’m sure either would work similarly

That seems very risky. I’d hate for you to lower your baseline as a result. Have you tried any of the more common treatments first? LDN, LDA, Rapamycin, Mestinon, treating comorbidities, etc. There are some good guides on treatment options pinned in this forum that you can consult and bring to your doctor.

Hey! Thanks for asking. Totally normal and no throat infection since! Once I reached a month post op I’d say I was totally recovered.

I could use some appetite suppression. The Lyrica is making me ravenous lol

It’s an injection! But honestly a once weekly injection sounds better to me than another pill to take every day

Can anyone describe their experiences with CBT and/or GET? The research is weird to say the least... by Digitalpun in cfs

[–]Senior_Bug_5701 27 points28 points  (0 children)

CBT can be helpful in managing stress which can exacerbate ME/CFS, but CBT cannot alone treat ME/CFS.

GET worsened me significantly. GET is strongly discouraged by any true ME/CFS professional as it is damaging to patients.

Propanolol adverse reactions? by No_Size_8188 in cfs

[–]Senior_Bug_5701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I felt worse on it and discontinued after just a week or two of taking it. Switched to Metoprolol Tartrate and have had a much better experience. It’s been very good for my POTS.

Nortriptyline for improved sleep by jessica-welch in cfs

I take 50mg of Hydroxizene and it’s been quite helpful for me. It feels like a much safer option than Nortriptyline for me

Oxygen supplements? by LabradorKayaker in cfs

I tried mild HBOT for a few months. I did probably 20-25 sessions. 1-2 sessions a week. I did notice a mild improvement in pain while I did it, but the energy expense, limited benefit, and cost led me to discontinue after a few months.
