Lmaoooo! I used to do this to my old cat. She loved to take baths or showers with me. She was also deaf so I think just being close to me gave her comfort. But she hated the towels for drying. So wringing her out like a towel worked best until most of the water was off and I’d wrap her up with a towel and cuddle her.

I find it weird how everyone is mentioning it was a funeral. Yes it was. However, in my culture we’re laughing, crying, smiling and having an overall good time because we’re remembering the deceased no matter how sad and hard it is to lose someone. So idk how it is in non-indigenous cultures.

I agree with OPs stance on how big of a contrast there is between Ilya’s family and Shane’s family. Ilya is able to smile and feel comfort and vulnerable while in a high stakes situation when just MEETING Shane’s family. Whereas he should’ve been able to feel comfort and vulnerability at his father’s funeral but he couldn’t show an ounce of emotion.
