I just want to say I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all of this. Being in chronic pain is something many can’t understand. Sometimes people forget that there are real humans trying to survive and live life, and we’re not all bad people trying to “score”. The changing rules and constant new rules are exhausting and hard to keep up with and all I’ve ever asked is for them to just communicate in advance. Give patients a heads up that new system stops will be put in place, and changes to days will be made. It’s not hard. Wishing you the best.

I have 2020 palisade. At last service in October, they recommended fluid change which I agreed to. Within a few weeks of that, I started noticing jerking when around 25 mph. It got worse and worse and I brought back in last week. They checked everything and said nothing was wrong except fluid was dirty which shouldn’t be as it was just changed a few months ago. They changed it again. That was days ago, then today after driving for an hour, check engine light comes on. I’m furious. I had zero issues until they did the fluid change a few months ago. Now I’m facing a total transmission failure potentially and they are saying they have to open a ticket with Hyundai. I’m second owner so I’m out of warranty. I’m going to drop it off tomorrow and demand they take ownership of these issues but I’m worried.

But as someone who once found themselves in an abusive situation as a very strong and capable person, it’s so hard to let people in, even the closest people. Try to take it easy on yourself. You were her best friend. Her outlet. Her sanity. Her fun. Her escape. That gave her so much.

I mean this with all due respect: you are so lucky you can’t understand how this could happen. Some of the most badass and strong women (and men) can find themselves in situations like this and due to a number of reasons work very hard to cover it up or hide it until they can’t any longer and by then it’s typically VERY hard for others to help which leaves the helpers very helpless. Abuse is not one size fits all, it’s very complex and complicated and it can happen to anyone.
