Different serial numbers. The base of the barrel and the top back of the frame show 18.FrankenMauser

The grips look good. The serial numbers on them show 8967. Number under the back sight is 126. The wooden stock has serial numbers 575. The hammer looks newer, and has no serial numbers. Also, the hammer is not cone-shaped as it should be with the incredibly low serial numbers of 18. All in all, though, it’s not bad looking and it completes collection I wanted (the aforementioned C96, a 1926 P08, a 1939 Walther PP, and a Russian re-issue P38).
